There is a place in Oklahoma that is a bit s--t hole to race. Any track will let you run one time and then you must comply with their rules before you come back. When Shaw had this track he always gave everyone a chance. Our cars are them same with the exception of mini-clutches. We heard all their drivers want this also, but the promoter said no, because this will keep the out of town cars from coming in and winning. In my opinion, and not taking anything away from the drivers or their cars, this was the most boring races I have ever seen. Any Factory Stock from that track ( although their street stocks come and are allowed to race as factory here) that comes to OKC to race, you never what might happen, you may go home with no money like we did. (in my opinion their track is a big pile of s--t. In case you are wondering I am refering to Enid Speedway. It is not worth your time or money to go there. We won't be returnning.

I say congrad to ENID for sticking to the rules. Sounds like they are protecting the local racers, the cost of racing, but most inportant the factory stock class of racing. But they still should have paid you for what ever place you came in. At least they told you what you need to change to race "AT THIER" track. Just my opinion.

That's my Opinion and I'm stick'en to it.

in the past at pretty much every track I have raced at if u r not legal you still get paid but the next time you return you will be checked ...we raced there last year and got paid , as a matter of fact they called and wanted us to come back because we put on some good clean racin and made a good showing. The new owners will realize in the future what they are doing . hurting themselves because a few guys bitch ....no bitchin at the city ...start em on the back and bring it on !!who cares if they are faster they still gotta make it up there ! ...........just my opinion :]

winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Bottom line is that all track promoters need to get together and have the same set of rules from top to bottom, no matter what, at each and every track. It is called working together for not only the tracks self but racers who want to go out and race on a different night than their weekly home track.

But, this day and age, that will never happen.

dirttrack 29, ya kuddos to him for stickin to his guns and not bein wish washy, but listen to this, j.d i did call friday night and he said come on up we would love to have ya then when i get there it was a whole different story , the race my dad was talkin about in okla city ,was the extreme nationals which was a whole different deal, but he ( lonny) said come on up, as for lonny coville he was tryin to be nice about it but his tech crew was a a$$ im not just tryin to pick on the track but it was alot faster last year in my opinion like shawn said harold let us race 1 time and paid us when mini clutches , beadlocks, and bein underweight was an issue he knew his guys were fast and they were, shawn and i only came up to 3 and 4 and did not have anything for the other two and said fix them before u come back

I say illegal is illegal. But then again..........when they tell a driver they are gonna do something...........they need to do it. So in that sense they're wrong. But on on the other hand...........not every track can be like SFS and not check 1 damn thing aside from the weight.

Is there a track anywhere that both techs the cars AND stays consistent with their decisions?

i was at enid and was just wodering dusty were they wanting you to scale agian or were they wanting you not to race w/ the streets also. Cause what i was told was that you scaled then went to fill up with fuel to go out with th street and thats when a saw them arguing with you. Was just a little confused about what was going on there. I personally thought that the track was super fast in the A and like the changes they have made.

In reference to your opinion. I do believe that you were told on the phone friday night that if you came with mini clutch you would be DQ. Saturday night when you showed up when your car was teched there was several things that did not make you legal for factory stocks. You were told that you would not be paid if ran in the factory stock class. You were told that you could ran street stock and get paid. You probably didn't get your money for the street stock race. Enid speedway park has a bad name for the previous promoter and we are trying to get rid of that. We have DQ 18 cars in 4 weeks and they were all our local guys. A rule is a rule. Since the track has been taken over by the new promoter the car count has came up over 20 more cars so they must be doing something right.

now thats VERY respectable. Ya'll keep checkin and if necessary DQ'n. At least you won't be like the midget in OKC and instead of dq'n the track favorites for being illegal .....change the rule so it ends up being legal. (thats in reference to the sprint rule at the beginning of the season) We all know how he likes to keep the money up front........ And also that is most likely why the car count has gone up at Enid........they have a rulebook AND enforce it. Keep doin what you're doin up there........just get the sprints back at some point. lol.

Where is this Eind track? Sound to me, like it is a fair track!! This thread is about the only thing I've with a negative comment. It also sounds like "circle track" was on the phone or at least in the office at the time. And the story continues.

I go to both tracks every friday and sat, I think both tracks are full of $hit. I will start with the Factory comments, i have seen enid cars go to okc and try and run and not be allowed to run. Okc cars get to run more in their cars than enid but still not legal for okc, Go figure! Now to the enid track, all I have seen is car count go down, I think it is all the small infractions that the drivers are getting called on. They have already had to drop a class and maybe another coming up. Yeah the place looks great but without cars it will be a hole in the ground. Both tracks treat their drivers as if they don't care if they are there.I think James and Lonnie went to the Lanny racing school-now thats funny I don't care who you are.

The Car count Is down All Over guys and Gals because of The price Of gas. I have Been to enid and race and I like There track its Ok Just like The other Tracks around Are Ok. But The fairgrounds OKC Is The best place i Think because of the crowd in The Stands there is nothing Like looking up In The stands and seeing All those People Look At You Its AWESOME !

So, dirtondirt, are you suggesting that track officals should not follow the rules? As I know, you are aware, one infraction leads to another to complaint of favouritism and so on. Driveitindeep is correct. The price of fuel, electric, gas, food, and everything else is all pushing you guys and gals out of racing? The raise in cost sure have slowed me down. My shipping cost have gone out of sight. I now have to charge my customers for shipping. In the 10 years I have been doing business on E Bay I have never charged. But now.

That's my Opinion and I'm stick'en to it.
