Does anyone know how the guy that got beat up by the Nunley clan is doing? Last I heard and saw he was being taken to the hospital with a big gash in the back of his head. Heard he was hurt really bad and at one point was passed out on the ground in turn 3. Just wondering if anyone had an update.

On another note...I am glad to hear that Shawn was not as hurt as he looked to be. That was a very nasty flip and it looked like he hit hard when it finally came to an end. I had been telling everyone that the rut in turn 1 was gonna get someone real bad and it happened in the sprint cars. I don't ever like to see anyone get hurt regardless of my feelings about that individual. I hope that Shawn gets to feeling better and is ready to race for next Saturday.

See ya'll at the race track!!

So does this mean that Nunley is suspended for 2 weeks for fighting?

Well, I do not quite know since it was after the races and all. But that would be a good question to ask either Lanny or the officials that were still there. And keep in mind that I said the Nunleys--so it could have been anyone in their group that beat up that. But I would like an update on that guy if anyone has one.

Either way it's stupid. Be real nice if people could act like the adults they are supposed to be, instead of acting like little school bullies.

The boys from Wichita Falls and Lawton used to have a rivalry that included everything but firing guns! At least at the racetrack.

Late 60's mostly from what I heard. I know you never messed with Joe Ortega. The Ashlocks always looked out for each other. If you were an Okie and a 6'6" Indian wanted to meet you, it was best to go for his eyes with your thumbs! If you were running pretty close up front every week you had to be mindful of a beat up old modified that seemed to slow down as you approached him[ he might be waiting to take you out!]. There was the night a Golden Gloves boxer from Wichita got his kneecap knocked off by a 15 year old kid! It was not a good idea to upset Dutch!

JD knows better than anybody, he was there. I hate to admit this, but he is the only one here who knows I'm usually full of crap!

Wow! Sounds like they had some crazy races back in the day, unlike today where if some drivers have a disagreement the whole pit crew gets involved. Oh well, good thing for memories.

As I said before I'm new to this racing deal, but sounds like this track has been around for while. Which brings me to my next question in everyone opinion who were the dominate drivers from then till present. Just curious.
