Just to talk about something else besides the NST and Kinser, here is an All Star update:
The
Hoosier Fall Classic will return to Lawrencburg Speedway in September
of 2007 as a 2-day event as it was in previous years prior to being
dropped in 2006.
Brian Ellenberger will return to the series
full time in 2007. Unconfirmed rumors of other drivers returning to
full time competition with the series will be pursued and information
will be released as it comes in.
All indications are that the
full time drivers who raced in 2006 will return in 2007 with the
exception of James Mosher who has moved on to other opportunities.
Best of luck to James.
Tiffany Wyzard from Illinois will compete
for Rookie of the Year in 2007. Other possible contenders (unconfirmed
right now) are Neil Shepherd, Craig Mintz, Jamie Miller, Justin Meyers,
and Mike Burkin. Others have requested information on the 2007 season
as well. More news on those when they have made firm committments to
run.
The official announcement regarding the 2007 title sponsor
is forthcoming and other associate sponsors have been added as well.
More news on these soon.
The All Stars will once again kick off
the season at Volusia's WinterNationals in February on the 6th, 7th,
and 8th. The World of Outlaws will follow on the 9th, 10th, and 11th.
Start making plans now.
The All Stars will celebrate the 25th
Anniversary of Ohio Sprint Speedweek in 2007 with 8 consecutive nights
of racing (barring any weather issues). A couple of new venues will be
seen on the Speedweek schedule including Hilltop Speedway which was
recently re-opened in 2006.
The All Stars will honor 2006 series
champ Greg Wilson and the rest of the Top 10 in points at the annual
awards banquet to be held at the Eldora Ballroom on January 7th. Chad
Blonde picked up the 2006 Rookie of the Year honors.
The 2007
schedule is being finalized. Verbal committments have been secured for
40 stand alone All Star dates in 2007. Contracts have been returned on
many of those dates and the ongoing process will continue throughout
the winter. A few more dates are expected to be added. Approximately
6 dates will be co-sanctioned with the World of Outlaws. The official
schedule will be released after the first of the year.
Keep up on the latest info at www.allstarsprint.com

Now bring those All Stars to Wisconsin in 2007 and combine the show with the IRA boys.
