Hi all
I am coming over from Oz for a quick two week holiday to the US and wondering if anyone has any race dates they could add in for the period June 13 to June 23 in the Indiana, Illinois or Iowa area.
I have put a schedule together already (see below) for now but if anyone knows of others good races worth attending or for back up plans should we get rained out could you please let me know. I have to get to as many races as possible as I only have a two weeks!

Ash... I too will be at the F1 race along with the USAC race at IRP (it was great last year). We are trying to decide on wether we should go to Gas City or Bloomington on Friday June 15th (maybe some Indiana folks could help out on that decision???). I have always heard that Gas City is THE PLACE.
Sedalia is also in my neighborhood (less than an hour from home). That particular race is usually a good one with a large number of cars.
Call me when your in Indy and/or Sedalia we can drink a beer (or soda). Cell - 573-268-3139

Come over a day early and go to Gas City for their
makeup USAC race on June 14th.,then go to Bloomington on the 15th. That
way you'll get to see both Friday night tracks ine one hit.
I've been debating myself whether to go to Putnamville for the KISS
race,or just drive a few miles to IRP for USAC. Maybe I should call IRP
and see if thay are gonna rip me off $10 again for parking like they
did last yr when I went for the Silver Crown.
Surely I'll catch up with Ashley in his travels somewhere. I am guessing that Anthony will be a partner in crime once again this yr??

I am going to do the outlaw race at Tri-City on June 14 to check out the new layout. Plus with 26 outlaw cars its worth doing a couple of races this year.
I went to Gas City last year for USAC Sprint week and it was dry and dusty. Bloomington on the other hand was fast and racey so looking forward to the KISS round there.
Schultzy is getting married in November so his USA trip days are over (so he tells me). Its just me and the girlfriend this time.
See you at the races.

Another good reason NOT to get married. Reason number 1,out
of about 7984 reasons. Have to cut back or give up going to the races.
I meant Hawker should come to Indiana a day early,I have seen you guys there before.
Your early this year. Lots of gaps in the travel plans. Good luck on filling them in.

Couldn't agree more re getting married - Yuck!
I have moved to Sydney now so no holidays for me in July or August as too busy at work. Might be a good reason to move back to the UK where August is prime holiday period. So had the option of June or Sept and the midgets are at Knoxville in June so that wins.
Hawker I won't have a mobile (cell) phone that works in the US so won't be able to call u but if I bump into Andrew at one of the races he could introduce us.
Hopefully catch up with you at the races.

I'll be at Granite City for the WoO race on June 14th as well. I heard that Powri may not race there night unfortunately. We'll just wait and see.
Hawker: I've heard from some fans that Gas City isn't what it used to be. To me Haubstadt is "the place" to watch sprinters in Indiana.

We were watching the 2006 Indiana
Sprintweek race at Haubstadt tonight at the Cowboys shop and your name
came up tonight,Petey.
Gas City is one or two ticks lower on the excitement level than it used to be a few years ago,but I still like it.

If you are in NorCal on Friday, June 8th, check out the 410 sprints at Silver Dollar Speedway. The field will have several top GSC drivers plus a 25 to 30 car field. If you want to stay close to San Fran Friday night, then Ocean Speedway has 360 sprints with BK and son taking on the locals.

Figures I am on call this weekend and cant go watch the
cowboy kick some ass. I'll have to wait till next Tuesday and watch him
at North Vernon instead.
Things not sounding good at all for THAT.

Originally I was booked to fly on Friday to San Fran and was going to do chico but I forgot that at the end of my holiday if I left on Sunday arvo from St Louis I wouldn't get back to Sydney till 6am Tuesday morning.
So I had to fly out to San Fran on Saturday instead so am missing Chico on Friday night. Not happy about that as have always wanted to go there but it means I can stay for the saturday night USAC midget show at Knoxville on the last weekend. And now when i get back to Sydney on the Tuesday morning I am going straight to work. That should be a fun day!
I just booked my tickets to Tri-City so I hope the POWRi midgets aren't off the schedule.
