Here's what it's all about folks:

[quote]“Dad loved watching me race. And we’re going to love watching you race in his memory. Thanks to all our sponsors and supporters and to Fast Trax owners Billy & Sandra Bagwell for making this possible. We want this to be a great show for the racers and the first of many annual Doug Murphrey Memorial Races.”

We got what we got for this one and we're going to do our best to make a good show and enjoy the night. Whereever you race this weekend or whereever you watch this weekend, you do the same and with the best of luck!

Got two more commits out of Texas for this show recently.

Chris Brown from Baytown will run the DMM with his Skyrocket Modified between this weekend's Houston USMTS shows and the USMTS shows at Batesville on May 11th & 12th. Chris is going to be a busy racer over the next two weeks but why not? He's coming off another Modified win and his best ever SUPR Late Model run -- a 2nd! -- at Houston Raceway Park last week.

And coming from Tyler, Texas in a Dirt Works will be Casey Jordan. Casey always seems to be one of the fastest DWs at any of the show he travels too. I can remember him making the Oklahoma Open in Clinton last year. And last week, he claimed the win at Texas Dirt Motorplex.

Thanks guys for your support!

Chatham got some rain tonight but it appears to be moving out. The forecast keeps anywhere from 30 to 50% chance until noon tomorrow and then drop the chances down to negligible. On Saturday, they are saying no chance of rain and hot! High 91! Ouch! Sorry about that 6 o'clock start but we have a lot to do and don't want to race all night. A lot better than rain though and that will sure help dry the pits out. Hang in there though, the sun will set at 7:54PM!
