Here are some wild stats on the significance of today's game...
The teams are ranked 1-2 in the Top 25 for the first time in the 103-year history of the series. It's only the third time since 1935 that the schools will meet with perfect records. And it is the first time that they have been ranked #1 & #2.
Since 1950, the Buckeyes and Wolverines have each won 27 meetings, with two ties. Ohio State and Michigan have won or shared the last five Big Ten titles.

OSU/Michigan should be one of the best games of the year. It basically could be for the championship. I've been looking forward to it all week. Most bookies seem to have OSU as the favorite, they are giving Michigan 7 points...

Lets look at all the facts, not just the ones OSU fans want you to see. :-)
Overall records: M: 849-280-36 OSU: 761-300-53
Big Ten Titles M: 42 OSU: 30
National Chamionships M: 11 OSU: 7
Series Record Uof M Leads Series 57-39-6
Intersesting, Both schools have the same bowl record with 18 losses and 19 wins
This info came from the OSU library.
Should be a good game with OSU being 7 point favorites.

I think that the point spread only reflects the home team status. If it were in Michigan I belive it would be 7pts the other way....

In sports betting, the home team automatically gets 3 points, so that means the bookmakers feel that Ohio State is a 4 point favorite plus 3 points for playing at home.

WOW, what an unbelievable game. It had everything and for those friends of mine who can't understand why I like college football and not pro ball, they should have watched todays game.
The better team won today, but Michigan has nothing to be ashamed about. I think that their only mistake of the game was abandoning their running game in the first half.
CoachBob - FYI, I have posted several times after the Penn State romp that OSU was the team to beat this year. My only reason for picking Michigan is because of a late, longtime family friend of mine that was born and raised in Flint. He was a HARDCORE Wolverines fan.
Damn.............. should there be a re-match? Of course!

No one else in the country deserves to play in the championship game except Michigan and Ohio State.
Just think how good the rematch would be since they could game plan for eachother even better than they did the first time.
GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the advantage Hawker...I think we'd like to play either Notre Dame or USC for the National Title. But Wolverine stew in January sounds pretty good too.

Great game. I thought OSU had control most of the game except for the high snaps, but man it was close right down to the wire. Hats off to both teams. I hope whoever is ranked #1 and #2 at season's end get to play for the championship.

Woody and Bo would have been proud of the quality of play and sportmanship in today's game. Hopefully they meet again in Jan. as a demonstration winning with sportsmanship is rewarded.

Better start engraving the trophy now - Troy Smith did what he needed to do to win the Heisman. His 3rd straight year of beating "that team up north" will be treasured by us OH..IO folks for a long time.
RIP - Bo Schembechler
