How many racers from the NCRA do you think will skip the Hutch Nationals to attend the Knoxville Nationals on August 7th?

This has got to be the most silent forum in racing.

Probably none of the top five in points anyway. There might be a couple that are not point racing in the series. Might even pick up a few cars since there are probably no other tracks in the country running 360's that weekend.

Since this is an NCRA part of Hoseheads why even mention another race?
There is one heck of a Championship battle going on. Those that go anywhere else are certain to walk away from at least 4 to 5 positions.

To bad it wasn't rescheduled for a different night. Some of these NCRA boys would be contenders at the Knoxville Nationals. Matter of fact I believe quickdraw has one it in the past.

There was a post on the NCRA a few years ago about the Hutch Nationals. I forget who who wrote the post, but they stated that back in the day every race track in Kansas would shut down so that drivers could attend the Hutch Nationals. I for one wish that this tradition would continue, but unfortunately it has not. Now we see the Hutch Nationals being rescheduled during the Knoxville Nationals and I think that it is wrong. Why would the NCRA want to race the same weekend as the 360 Nationals when drivers like Maiers, Johnson and I'm sure there are a few others normally compete at the Knoxville Nationals? Is this the only date they could find?

I don't know for sure but if I were NCRA I would want to have some representation at Knoxville. It is pretty impressive to have a Knoxville Champion running your series. Don't get me wrong, the Hutch Nationals has been a big event for decades but the guys that support & follow the NCRA series are the ones that are missing out on their "Super Bowl". You miss one NCRA show & you can forget the championship.
