Well thats 2 that the NST has lost so far, not looking so good for the NST in '07!


Lasoski and Roth Motorsports Join World of Outlaws for 2007 Racing Season

Danny Lasoski and Dennis Roth will enter the Roth Motorsports machine into the race for the 2007 World of Outlaws championship. Following a successful season highlighted with 18 feature wins and the inaugural NST Championship, Lasoski and Roth feel joining the WoO is the best decision for their team, the sport and most importantly the fans.

Dennis Roth’s involvement in sprint car racing spans decades, and the Roth Motorsports machines he fields have long been viewed as potent weapons amongst the premier traveling series’. His decision to join the World of Outlaws weighed heavily on the betterment of the sport as a whole. “Everyone involved with Roth Motorsports team are very happy to have won the NST Championship and it was an honor to be involved with Fred Brownfield’s series. We have a tremendous amount of respect for Fred, the entire Brownfield family and what Fred envisioned for his series. For a second series to thrive it would have taken a very strong leader, such as Fred, to guide and direct it throughout the stages of development. When Fred was taken from us, I think a lot of us questioned who could possibly fill that void. We had to take a serious look at the state of the sport and do what we feel is best for everyone involved,” said Roth.

When asked about what helped guide their decision, Danny Lasoski said, “This past season has been tough on everyone involved from the split fields to the difficult choices we were faced with. Everyone out here wants what is best for their own teams, but there comes a time when you ask yourself what is best for the sport, the promoters and the fans. The fans make this all possible so we have to take a lot of stock into their feedback. All year long we kept hearing that everyone wants to see the best of the best race together every night and I think the fans deserve that. Judging from what we’ve learned this past year I think that formula is critical to allow our sport to grow, or even survive,” said Lasoski.

“Many of the issues behind the split have been addressed with DIRT’s management restructuring. I raced with them enough this past year to see they have done a great job in listening to the racers concerns and addressing them accordingly. But the bottom line is we race for a living. If I had my way I’d race every night. Even after all the rainouts, this past season we managed to race 94 nights and that still wasn’t enough for me. Our team raced wherever we wanted, with whatever series we wanted because we just wanted to race. Going forward I want to race with a series that can provide a solid schedule, point fund and television package to help our sponsors. In my opinion, the World of Outlaws have been able to put all those things together. I look forward to the day when we are all back together under one banner and this puts us one step closer,” said Lasoski.

Rudeen has decided to call it quits period, this part is true... Rumors i have heard are that they lost there butts with the NST, but i have also heard that the owner is getting a divorce... Either way thats the second..... But Shane was in Forbrooks ride for a few races at the end of the year, but Guy doesn't follow any series so take it what its worth
