Saldana on Kinser...

"He’s definitely, I feel, slowing down a little bit because of his son racing trucks now, and that whole split last year has mentally screwed him up, so hopefully we can get him down and keep him down because he’s a hard guy to keep down."

Saldana on Eldora...

"My favorite track is probably Eldora. It just seems like as a driver your car doesn’t necessarily have to be perfect, and you can make up a little bit of it. A lot of these tracks we race on it’s so mechanic oriented, and if your mechanic can’t work with your driver, and the car’s not working... Our cars are very sensitive to air...they’re getting probably like an Indy Car is. You have to pretty much know what you’re doing mechanically to make them work. They’re so good. The wings are good, the motors are good, the tires are good. At a place like Eldora you don’t have to be that good and a driver can make up a little bit of the difference."

Saldana on Kasey Kahne Racing...

"Last year when Kasey did this deal he wanted to have a program that was totally different from anyone else, which kind of scared me, but now I think it is starting to pay off. We have our own shocks, we have our own engines, we have our own cars. We do a lot of stuff in house and I think in a couple of years when we do figure all this out no one else is going to be able to get it... So hopefully we get to the point that we’re good enough that people want what we have and they can’t have it. Right now I definitely feel we have the best engine in the pits. I know no one else can have a Rick Long Speedway Engine, and definitely a Mopar... Mopar has pretty much cut out all the support except for Kasey Kahne Racing, and I think that’s why you are seeing a lot more success with our engines too, because we have a lot more support financially to get it done.

Interesting

That was one of the more insightful interviews I've heard so far this year. Saldana was on point. Spoke candidly about the WoO management and their high sanction fees as well. I thank him for his honesty. I'm sure he's not the only one hoping Kinser will retire soon as well...lol.
