Ventura Raceway will be holding its 2007 open practice session for all adult classes that race at Ventura Raceway this Saturday March 3. The pits will open at 12:00 noon. We will then tech cars and go on the track at 1:00pm in a tune and test format. At 4:00pm the ambulance will arrive. We will have a short driver's meeting and then go on the track in sessions of like cars. We will then rotate the classes that are present until the track closes at 9:30pm or until all cars are done.

Pit passes for the event will be $30.00 per person. There is no car charge. Spectators who do not purchase a pit pass may watch the event from the grandstands at no charge.

On Sunday March 4, we will hold a practice session for our kids classes and any dwarf cars that wish to attend. The practice will run from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm. The format for that afternoon will be a tune and test format only. As on Saturday Pit passes will be $30.00 per person and spectators may watch from the grandstands area at no charge.

These practices are leading up to our opening date on Saturday March 10, when we will race VRA Sprint Cars, VRA Dwarf Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Junior Midgets and Mini Dwarf Cars. Pits will open at 12:00 noon with racing getting under way at 5:30pm

For more information, give us a call at 805-985-5433.

Cliff Morgan, VRA Director of Competition
