Due to a disturbing LACK OF INTEREST, the Racer's Car Show that was scheduled for 3/3/07 is going to have to be cancelled.
I'll be contacting the few people that DID show an interest so they're not sitting there alone on the 3rd. I do want to thank those that were willing to come out and meet the fans and promote our sport.
Just a thought.... the next time there's talk of closing the track because of low fans turn-out, don't bitch. You had an opportunity to help our sport and boost fan interest.

Won't ever have to worry about low fan interest at SFS because they average at least 3000 fans every Friday night. Any promoter in the country would kill to have half that many.
But your point is well taken. The majority of the drivers won't go to show off their cars or promote the track they race, they won't do their part to help the booster club to give them a real good point fund at the end of the year and they want to bash other divisions simply because they don't care for that class of cars. We have idiot fans here that bash and hate certain divisions here locally but yet bitch when their class of cars also gets bashed by others. That use to not be the case but the majority it seems to be a "me me me" attitude and why not, seems to be the rage in all sports.

It was gonna be fun Tammy......... I had a bunch of stuff lined up like door prizes, free food, trophies or plaques for favorite car in each division, and I was working on getting corp sponsors for a grand door prize of a set of tires for a winner in each division.
But that can't happen with only 4 modifieds, 2 sprints, and a mini sprint.

Oh yeah..... NASCAR screwed Mark Martin out of the win at Daytona. At any other time, if a bug even farts on the track the caution comes out. But I guess a 10 car pile up and Bowyer upside down, backwards, and on fire (that was pretty cool!) doesn't warrant a yellow.
I hope coverage this year is more tolerable. MRN is difficult to listen to because of all the commercial breaks every three laps and the absolutely retarded crap they say. And tv isn't much better, going to commercial just as green flag stops start. And all the retarded crap they say...........
