Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series Announces 2009 Schedule
(MAUMEE, OH) 1-28-09 The Kistler Racing Products F.A.S.T. Championship Series is proud to announce the inaugural 22 race schedule for 2009. For those of you who have been following the development of this points series between Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway, you know that the idea is to hand out points to the drivers competing in regularly scheduled weekly events at both tracks. The F.A.S.T. schedule is basically nothing more than the two track schedules, but packaged in a way that allows teams to collect F.A.S.T. points in a logical and economical way. The F.A.S.T. title will pay drivers in addition to the track season championships.
"Scott Porter and I decided early on that we would hand out points on the weekends where both tracks were running regular weekly shows and not sanctioned races," said Bryan Autullo, co-creator of the series. "It worked out in our favor that there happened to be 10 weekends where it becomes a Friday/Saturday package for teams wanting to travel to the area for an overnight trip to run two events." The two individual Championship Nights were also added at the request of the tracks for a total of 22 F.A.S.T. points events this year.
