Midget Feature Lineup (30 Laps): Chris Rahe/Danny Stratton, Shane Cottle/Cory Kruseman, Tracy Hines/Jerry Coons Jr., Darren Hagen/Levi Jones, Nathan High/Jon Stanbrough, Brad Loyet/Davey Ray, Jerome Rodela/Garrett Hansen, Casey Shuman/Mike Hess, Johnny Rodriguez/Chuck Gurney Jr., Tom Hessert III/Chris Windom, Matt Sherrell/Gary Taylor, Jeff Henry/Kevin Swindell, Dave Darland/Matt Mitchell, Bradley Galedrige/Shane Hollingsworth, Bobby East/Chase Barber, Cole Carter/Scott Pierovich

Start – Rahe and Stratton go into the first turn side-by-side, with Rahe taking the point after the second turn, but Stratton takes over in Turn 3 and Rahe back in Turn 4

Lap 2 – Kruseman challenges Stratton in Turn 2; Rahe holds off Stratton; Hines and Coons battle for fourth and fifth

Lap 3 – Hines takes fourth, and challenges Stratton after Kruseman takes second

Lap 4 – Hines blows by Stratton in Turn 2 on the inside and goes under Kruseman momentarily before Kruseman shuts the door

Lap 5 – Rahe still holds about a five-car length lead, and Hines gets second out of Turn 4 on the inside; Hagen up to third after passing Kruseman

Lap 6 – Rahe pushes up the track in Turn 4, allowing Hines to garner the lead on the inside

Lap 7 – Rahe pushes up again in Turn 2 and Hagen nearly takes second before Rahe holds him off

Lap 8 – Hines opens up about a three-car advantage before a spin by Barber brings out the feature's first caution; Top seven are Hines, Rahe, Hagen, Kruseman, Hansen, Stratton, Coons; Shuman pulls into the pits and appears to have retired for the race

 

Restart, Lap 8 – Hines jumps on the throttle and is unchallenged in the first turn; Hagen goes to the outside of Kruseman in Turn 3 and takes the spot from Kruseman before tucking in behind Rahe

Lap 9 – Hansen flies underneath Rahe with a great slide job and takes second, while Hines extends his lead

Lap 10 – Rahe holding off Hagen and Kruseman, while Coons is stuck in sixth; Red flag comes out for two-car tangle in Turn 3, with one flip, involving Chuck Gurney Jr.; Davey Ray was also involved but did not flip

 

Restart, Lap 10 – Hines gets a great jump as Hansen is slow on the throttle, leaving Hines to pull away; Hagen slides under Hansen momentarily but can't get by

Lap 11 – Hines about a second ahead of Hansen and Hagen, while Kruseman and Rahe rounding out the Top 5; Most of the field around the middle and high sides of the track

Lap 12 – Hines falls to the bottom of the track now; High slows in Turn 4 and stops on the frontstretch

 

Restart, Lap 12 – Hines gets another great jump as Hansen is slow to start, but the lead isn't as big as the last restart, and Hansen nearly runs into the back of Hines in Turn 4

Lap 13 – Hines extends the lead as Hansen gets sideways in Turn 2, with Hagen close in pursuit

Lap 14 – Hagen tries low on Hansen but unable to take the position; Cottle up to sixth and running the bottom of the track

Lap 15 – Hagen gets a great boost off Turn 2 and finally takes the position

Lap 16 – Hines continues to hold the bottom; Kruseman slide job on Hansen and drifts to the bottom

Lap 17 – Hines still about five car lengths ahead of Hagen, who started seventh, as the Top 3 begin to pull away; Kevin Swindell stopped in Turn 4 and needed to be pushed off the track

 

Restart, Lap 17 – Hines gets a two-car jump on Hagen and Kruseman, who goes to the bottom to try and pick off Hagen; Loyet appeared to break on the backstretch, but got the car going, though the caution came out for him and he was relegated to the back

 

Restart, Lap 17 – Hines falls to the bottom, with Hagen on the outside and Kruseman also on the bottom; No challenge in Turns 3 and 4

Lap 18 – Hagen still working to get back up to Hagen; Loyet spins out in Turn 2 on his own

 

Restart, Lap 18 – Hines with a good jump on Hagen in Turn 1, but Hagen goes to the outside; Bad restart forces another restart

Restart, Lap 18 – Hines ducks to the inside again, but Hagen again goes to the top and takes the point off Turn 2 on the outside; Cottle gets fourth at the flag stand

Lap 19 – Hagen quickly establishes a solid lead, while Hines and Kruseman trailing; Sherrell pulls off the track

Lap 20 – Taylor hits the Turn 3 outside wall and comes to a rest; He climbs out of the car under his own power

 

Restart, Lap 20 – Hagen gets a good start and jumps to the outside while Hines and Kruseman trail on the bottom; Cottle works the bottom on Kruseman though can't take third

Lap 21 – Hagen holds about a six-car length advantage coming off Turn 4, with Hines, Kruseman, Cottle and Rahe separated by about two car lengths each

Lap 22 – Hagen and Hines continue to pull away, using the middle line

Lap 23 – The field strings out and nearly everyone is running around the middle, which seems to be rubbered down

Lap 24 – The Top 2 are separated by less than a second, with Kruseman falling back

Lap 25 – Hines catching Hagen in the turns; Hagen pulling away on the straightaway; Eighth yellow for Bradley Galedrige, who stops in the second turn

 

Restart, Lap 25 – Hines tries the bottom in Turn 1 but can't pass Hagen, who gains momentum off the turn

Lap 26 – Hollingsworth pulls into the pits; Hagen only about five car lengths ahead

Lap 27 – Darland and East lagging in the rear; Hines closes the gap big time

Lap 28 – Hines tries Hagen in Turn 1, but not quite

Lap 29 – Hines goes to the inside of Hagen in Turn 1 and nearly picks him off before Hagen regains control; Kruseman pulls up

Lap 30 – Kruseman pass Hines on the outside of Turn 4 as Hines slowed; Hagen takes over second and Hines may have run out of fuel
