We will be having our next racing committee meeting this weekend so if you have anything you would like discussed, talk to you driver reps or e-mail it to me.
The Spring Sprint Nationals will be moved to Friday May 15th. Season point opener is still tentatively the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Van Wyhe Livestock and Folkens Brothers trucking will again be the major sponsors of this event, and watch for a big announcement soon on a purse increase to this event!
The Banquet will be on Saturday Jan 24th, and we also will be reelecting new members for the racing committee at the banquet.
We also will be forming a new activties committee. This will be a lot like the racing committee, except its focus will be on doing activities geared toward getting more fans to attend Jackson Speedway.
The activites committee will be a combination of a few of my employees and whom ever would like to get involved to help better the Jackson Speedway. Things that it will likely include would be the kids club, giveaways, theme nights (like U of O night) and basically any thing we can do to try and bring fans out to the Jackson Speedway.
The racing committee has done a lot of these things as well, but the racing committee has worked so good that I thought it might be a good idea to expand it to a fan oriented branch as well.
If you want to be on either committee e-mail me and let me know, several drivers and owners already have and this is awesome!
The racing committee is voted on.
The Activities Committee would be anyone who would like to get involved. And Fans are certainly welcome to this committee as well, you do not have to be associated with a race team.
