CCC depends on whether you like or dislike Holt , guess it is to each his own opinion on that , be interesting to see if I can get JL to venture back up to Creek now in March. Salina is the only other place I have heard that is up for sale and Tulsa but that is a whole different story.

Mr. Whitworth: I would think so after the previous fella is still behind bars for all that stolen heavy equipment. Did that guy own it or just promote it? Hope they pull somthin decent together someday as its still one of the few tracks in the state I haven't been to. An ASCS race there would make an ideal trip for me. 410 races there are way too expensive.
JD: I don't know anything about Carpenter.......never really knew much about Holt either. Lookin at the ASCS Sooner Region schedule and seeing no CCS races tells me someone there ain't doin somthin right. I always liked watchin ASCS races there. Although the swimming pool at the bottom of turn 1 last year (ASCS Speedweek) had me questioning what the deal was.......and then to think.....later that night was one of the best races of the year. And then hearing Randy Ward's announcing it made it even better. Oh yeah.......for all those who haven't heard it go to highvistavideo.com and listen to the Creek County ASCS Speedweek race. If the last 10 laps aren't enough to excite you.......Mr. Ward will take care of the rest :) Seriously, if this new sprint class at CCS was Holt's idea and know he is gone that doesn't bode well. Butif this new fella can keep the current car count and then gradually up it........while at the same time bringing in some ASCS races.......I would call that a success.

True. BUT, you donated to his fat little wallet each week. We are all to blame. None of us are smart enough to stay away.

I heard at the Chili Bowl that Clay may not get anything with that deal with the law last year, not enough evidence to tie him in on the deal with the 2 other persons , but that is just what I heard but must have some truth to it as he plans on opening the place up again this year. The Carpenter guy use to run 100" cars up at Tulsa,be interesting to see what he does with Creek in the next several years.
I know one guy down south of the river who never went back to run or even watch at a Lanny run facility since the Summer of 2003 , respect the guy immensely for that.
You know the little fat man does give you entertainment for your dollar , lot's of cars on the track on Friday's as well as good (but Pricey) Poncho Dogs as well as full value entertainment listening to the scanner as there is just no better entertainment than that for 3 hrs. on a Friday night, No Movie or Movie Director could write a script as wild as some of those scanner/radio conversations get on Friday's , now that is some good stuff.
Just think in a little over a month you will get 29 chances to listen to them re-write the scripts in there own special way. LOL

If Lanny gets those radios that ASCS has to tell drivers where to line-up and what not I might quit racing.

You got a good point. It kinda goes back to the fact we are all too stupid to stay away. I haven't got to experience Clyde yet like you have. I guess my time is coming.lol

From the Tulsa boards... the Tulsa track, and the old Muskogee might also open back up.
