DONNY SCHATZ MOTORSPORTS ADDS SNAP-ON TOOLS AS ASSOCIATE SPONSOR

FARGO, ND (February 5, 2007) - Donny Schatz Motorsports has announced the signing of Snap-on Tools as an associate sponsor for their World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series Racing championship team for the 2007 season.

The partnership allows Schatz to join some of the biggest names and teams in motorsports that participate in the Snap-on Racing program.

"We are really happy to begin a relationship with Snap-on and have them be part of our team this year," said Schatz, the 2006 WoO champion.” We’ve been using Snap-on tools for a long time and to have their support is something we’re all excited about. They have a strong tradition of being the best in the business, and we want to carry on that tradition in sprint car racing."

Wonder if Parker Stores is no longer with him?

I love snap-on, but it will be wierd if parker stores isn't even seen on the car.

False alarm, this scheme is getting raced only 8 times next year.

Here is the rest of the article, the read more icon is a little hard to find, maybe it's just cause my cpu is a piece.

Donny Schatz Motorsports has primary sponsorship from Parker Hannifin Corporation and associate sponsorship programs with Bellerud Transport and Petro Stopping Centers. This season, the team will represent their sponsors at more than 88 races.

"This is a great opportunity to bring an outstanding talent into our contingent of racing teams," said Carl Johanson, Motorsports Marketing Manager for Snap-on Tools. "Donny Schatz had a terrific season in 2006, and we feel like this is a chance for us to build a partnership that will be a win-win scenario for everyone involved. They have a first-class team and we're thrilled to be part of it as they try to repeat their World of Outlaws and Knoxville Nationals championships in 2007."

Snap-on has a rich history in motorsports, including involvement with NASCAR, the National Hot Rod Association, the Indy Racing League and the Snap-on Stars of Karting. The sponsorship of Schatz builds upon Snap-on’s involvement with the World of Outlaws, since Snap-on was previously a series sponsor.

"Snap-on has always believed that auto racing is one of the world's great mechanical laboratories," continued Johanson. "The schedule Donny will race with the World of Outlaws offers a great deal of exposure for us and will assist our 3,500-plus franchisees in building excitement and awareness of the Snap-on brand."

"We've worked really hard for the last ten years to become one of the best sprint car teams in the world," said Schatz. "Being able to join a group of elite teams that represent Snap-on with the highest level of performance and professionalism is a big accomplishment. Our goal is to maintain the championship form we raced at last season and try to have another successful season."

As part of the agreement, Schatz will race a Snap-on schemed sprint car during eight races in 2007. The car will be red and black and will carry the Snap-on brand logo, as well as logos for ParkerStore – the team's primary sponsor – and Bellerud Transport and Petro Stopping Centers. The car is scheduled to make its debut on the track April 7 at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo.

Not sure.

But I was thinking, that must be the new scheme for the parkerstores car in the upper right corner of the pic. The one right in front of the top wing, I'm guessing.

"The Outlaws have people out here that don’t know
anything about racing. I don’t understand how they
come up with some of the calls they do. It makes me
think that they just might be that stupid. It’s
scary." -Steve Kinser

Yeah it's been cold over here but it definitely could be worse. Supposed to warm up some today. Pevely, Haubstadt, Farmington and YES Benton will for sure be some places to hit again this year. Maybe I'll catch up with you sometime.
