Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders Title Up For Grabs in Weekend Doubleheader!

(Bill W) Entering the last weekend of the race season, the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders have yet to decide a champion! Just six points separate point leader John Schulz from Bobby Mincer. Josh Schneiderman lurks in third, just 24 points out of the lead, and Matt Rogerson is not far behind him. The "Herb Barlow Memorial" at the Morgan County Fairgrounds in Jacksonville, Illinois this Friday, October 3, and the Season Finale at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Saturday, October 4, will both pay $1,500 to the winner, and decide everything!

The Sprint Invaders will be racing on common ground. This will be their ninth visit to Jacksonville in series' history. Last May, Jerrod Hull became the first repeat series' winner at the tight ¼ mile, and he is expected to be there to defend his turf. 34 Raceway will be holding its 18th Sprint Invaders event. Winners this year have included Rogerson, Schulz, Mincer and Mike Houseman Jr. Rogerson leads all feature winners at West Burlington with five Sprint Invaders wins at the banked 3/8 mile oval. Several visitors are expected to throw their hat in the ring this weekend as well.

Just one point separates "Flyin'" Ryan Jamison from Korey Weyant in the battle for fifth, while Matt Harms, Jimmy Davies, Jordan Goldesberry and Dan Avery round out the top ten. The battle for Rookie of the Year is also coming down to the wire, as "A-MAC" Austin McCarl and "The Flying Farmer" Andy Huston are only 23 points apart! Last weekend, the 2007 Sprint Invaders Rookie of the Year, Jordan Goldesberry, won his first ever sprint car feature, capturing the prestigious 24th Annual Tom Knowles Memorial at the Spoon River Speedway near Canton, Illinois!

Racing at the Morgan County Speedway will get underway Friday with hot laps at 6:00 with racing to follow! Pits will open at 4 p.m. and grandstands at 5 p.m. Grandstand seating is $20 for adults, with seniors $18 and children 6-12 $5. Children 5 and under are free!

The racing action will kick off at the 34 Raceway Saturday at 7 p.m.! Grandstand seating is $15 for adults, with children and seniors $13! Join us afterwards for a FREE pit party to celebrate another successful season! We'll see you this weekend!

Camfab Offers Bonus for the "Highest Finishing 305"

Mark, there are usually a fair amount of the 305s that run with us for the CAMFAB bonus, and a few have made the features this year.

Brian Brown will be racing with us both nights as well as some others...

BW,

Any other nonregular drivers hitting either of these events that you know of?

I see on another forum that Jack Dover is tossing the idea around, but has a friend in Jackson, Mn. that will pay tow money. Anyone in this area able to help him out?

Would be nice to see some of the Knoxville guys show up again. Mabye Houseman could make it 2 in a row. Didn't Donnie Seward put on a good show last time in a 305?

I heard last night that Jesse Gianeto was planning on coming down Saturday. We've missed Jesse it will be good to see him at a Invaders event again. Always a tough competitor. Watch out for that turn four Jesse!

Hope I spelled that right.
