O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Sprint Cars headline North Florida Winternationals (season opener) at North Florida Speedway this weekend

Atlanta, GA - The O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series "Outlaw Thunder" Tour will kick off it's 2007 (and 11th anniversary) racing season with the North Florida Winternationals during the "Snow Bird 200" two-day event for winged sprint cars at North Florida Speedway in Lake City, Florida this Friday and Saturday nights The two-day event kicks off with a full racing program of action presented by Bob Potter's B&W Enterprises on Friday night at 7 pm that features the CnB Mushroom Farms sponsored time trials, qualifying heats and B and A Main events. Saturday night's race program presented by C&B Mushroom Farms starts at 6pm and will feature another full racing program including a 30-lap O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour finale that will pay $2500 to win with $3000 possible including bonuses. At least $5000 will be possible to win with bonuses over both nights with more details to be announced soon.

The sprint car races will award O'Reilly USCS National points. Sprint car pre-entries have been received from twelve states and Canada and a great field is expected for this early season first-annual event. Pre-entries include five time O'Reilly USCS National Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee and two-time O'Reilly USCS National Champion and all-time leading feature winner Kenny Adams from Malabar, Florida. Adams is approaching 100 career wins with the series with ninety-seven career wins. Another O'reilly USCS past champion Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas is also entered. The 1999 O'reilly Dirt Cup Champion finished fifth in the 2006 National standings and had four feature wins.

Other top O'Reilly USCS entries include 22 year-old, Tom Winegardner, Jr. from Pierson, Florida who ranked third Nationally in the final 2006 standings and finished behind Danny Martin, Jr. in the Hoosier Tire Young Guns point standings for drivers under twenty-five years old. Winegardner is expected to join a host of Hoosier Tire Young Gun entries into the event including 17 year-old Matt Tiffany from Daytona Beach, Florida who finished sixth in the overall point standings after missing several season-ending events due to injury.

The other Hoosier Tire Young Guns entered for the event include,sixteen year-old 2006 O'Reilly USCS Rookie of the Year, Derek Hagar from West Memphis, Arkansas, 2005 top rookie Bryn Gohn from Malabar, Florida and 2004 series top rookie driver R.J. Johnson from Decatur, Tennessee. Also entered is another improving Hoosier Tire Young Gun, twenty-year-old Stephen Darvalics from Venice, Florida who finished fifth in the O'Reilly USCS Southern Thunder regional series rankings as a second year driver. Twenty year-old Ryan Myers from Eaton, Ohio who finished third in the O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder point standings and in the top ten Nationally is also expected as is 2005-2006 Hoosier Tire Young Guns Champion Danny Martin, Jr.

Top Florida drivers entered for the event include: 2006 Eastbay Raceway Park Champion, Daryl Smith from Riverview and 2006 O'Reilly USCS Southern Thunder Rookie of the Year, Brian Eckley from Tampa. Veteran driver and former East Bay track Champion, Brian Maddox from Brandon, Frank Carlsson from Oxford and Danny Statter from Deltona also joina strong Florida contingent that includes Tommy Denton, Bruce Durden, Darren Orth and Terry Witherspoon from Jacksonville, Florida as entries as well.

Additionally entered from the Sunshine state is the legendary open wheel veteran, Wayne Reutimann from Zephyrhills, Florida and his team-mate, 2005 O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder Champion, Wayne Reutimann, Jr. also from Zephyrhills.

Out of state entries include: Three time National Sprint Car Driver of the Year, Gary Wright from Hooks, Texas and Travis Rilat fom Forney, Texas, Ronnie Blair from Dayton, Ohio, Lance Fassbender from Wisconson and Oklahoma's Brad Best. Other travelers include Jeff Taylor and Jack Helget from New Jersey plus announced entries, Doug Emery and John Karklin, Jr. from the state of New York and Chris Schmelzle from Victoria, BC.

Also on the racing card for the North Florida Winternationals and "Snow Bird 200" weekend will be a North vs. South Shootout for the U.M.P Open Wheel Modifieds vs. the Florida Modiifeds. Some of the top UMP drivers from the Midwest as well as a top coningent of Florida's best open wheel modiifed drivers are entered. The weekend program posts prize money of $2500 possible to win over two nights in the open wheel modified division. The North Florida Speedway Hobby and Pure Stock weekly racing divisions will also be included on the racing program each night as well.

Tires and race fuels will be available at the track both nights. The track is located 5 miles South of Lake City, Florida just off US Highway 41.
