i liked the thread about top 15 diecasts that should be made. now here is one that really has me interested. and i think we all could actually do something about - seriously. ok i'll try to word this right.

just about any avid sprint car fan loves the 2002 ratbag game - and loathes the other games. they were kind of a joke that most of us own strictly as novelty - especially if you own both - which one do you actually enjoy playing? lol yeah. so this got me to thinking.

if we could have another "perfect" sprint car game - what changes would you make? i dont mean so much to the racing graphics. yeah i'm sure some things could be done - but i loved it then - and still love it. it seems so realistic as you are driving it. the main question i want to ask is this.........

what drivers should be on it? and or how many?
what tracks should be on it? and how many?
what type of fantasy tracks? and how many?
and also - how should the career settings be configured?

if all our political junk can get the attention it does - by all means this should get a lot more - you dont need to have played it to have an opinion on it.

the 02 game has
1.knoxville
2. eldora
3. Williams Grove
4. Lernerville
5. Terre Haute
6. bloomington
7. I-55
8. Lowe's
9. Silver Dollar (chico)
10. Bristol (kick ass)
11. Husets
12. Las Vegas

so lets say you could minus a couple of those - and have around 30 total. what would you add/subtract? (btw Bristol you keep no matter what - that track is wicked fun in the game) - i would scratch las vegas, and terre haute for sure. maybe even bith PA tracks - although no game would be right without the grove so..... the bullrings are the funnest tho. chico, I-55, and bloomington are the 3 best in the game (and bristol) - hustes, knoxville, bristol are cool, eldora is too freakin easy and boring - kinda like Haute, WG, vegas, and Lowe's........i dont know i could go on forever. but which ones would you add-subtract. it doesnt have to be WoO tracks - but it would be better if it was tracks that reg. run sprints.

as i said before - I'll give my thoughts on it later...i do hope ya'll give this a minute;s thought tho......to start i say have at least 20 car features instead of 16. and find a way that you can start traditionally coming out of turn 4 instead of all weird like on the front straight. as for the tracks/series/drivers - i'll have to think on that some more..

I'm pretty happy with the tracks that are on the '02 game. Maybe modify Knoxville to give it a bottom, let Terre Haute go and replace it with Eagle. Eldora's not boring if you're racing someone else that's really good. My favorite from the PC version was Muskogee, would like to see that added. Kinda funny that Schatz, Saldana and Dollansky are so slow on that game and are the top 3 today. I would like to see some season and career stats added, wins, top 5's, etc. And, yes, I did purchase the 2 newer games. I guess I needed something to collect more dust.....
