Way to go Jac. Great drive and job by the entire team. Timing and a bit of luck is what every racer needs from time to time and the racing gods have finally begin to shine a bit of light on Jac. First Edmonton (which was way over due) and now the Gold Cup. You can't help be feel for Jason Meyers though (my youngest daughters favorite driver). To have someone take you out while you are leading is a killer. Jason is a great driver and is also great to talk with. I know he will rebound the very next race and put this behind him. However there are those up and downs through the season and every driver goes through it. It happened to Haud earlier in the year, between mechanical problems ( losing power steering and brakes all in the same race ) to poor officiating ( atleast 2 blowen calls by the WoO officials ) as well as others too. Things always have a way of evening out, even if its just a little bit.
Just an all around great race, great duels and great action. WoO.........there is nothing like it on the planet!
PS: Maria, hope you are back with the team real soon.
No matter how hard you try.........you can't polish a
terd!!!

Yep Haud sure knows how to get it done, especially on the "drivers" tracks. He is one of a kind. I bet the crowd gave him a good celebration.
Cheers!

Kudos to one of the younger, less experienced drivers on the circuit.;)
Always happy to see Jac take home the bacon.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

The first time I saw Jac race was at the Gold Cup. Can't remember the year but his buddy Jack Hewitt got him to come to California to race.
Jac drove Irv Westby's red #22(from Washington state) and man did he put on a show! He was real young and looked it.
Good memories!
I also witnessed Jac winning the Mopar Million.
Congratulations Jac!

Couldn't see a better guy win that race. Jac did a hell of a job! Congrats.
