The count is at 84 right now, with seveal WoO teams not on the list yet. No Lasoski, TK, Allard, T. Shaffer, Blaney, Jacobs, Lynch and about 8 or 9 of the WoO guys. They should get 100-110 cars when all's said and done. Nationals will be awesome just like every other year!!! Nict to see all the PA guys coming out. Its the only chance I get to see these boys race during the year.

That's great to see! After reading for the last 2 months how Knoxville's weekly show was falling apart, there weren't gonna be more than 80 cars, there would be half the grandstands empty, it's good to see this. I for one attend every year and look forward to it this year. The Nationals is the granddaddy of them all.

Too many naysayers and doubters on the message boards sometimes. Drivers and fans from all over show up because its the Nationals, the biggest race on the planet. I'll get there on Sat for the 360 Nats. I'm looking forward to a great 8 nights of racin. Guys can make some good money even if they don't make it to the A or B on Sat. Winning any feature at the Nats is a big deal. One Canadian driver I know won the E main last year got a good paycheck, got to take photos on the podium with all the other winning drivers, he recieved a trophy, and attended the press conference. He felt it was more than he could have ever expected.

it is amazing to me the negative postings on this site. " I heard cappy say they would be lucky to have 80 cars at both the 360 and 410 Nationals" well I know cappy too and I bet he never said that. We have John Katich and I think he lives in Knoxville...and he all he does is bash the the racetrack....or maybe its just cappy he bashes..there are issues in all of the entertainment venues...from what I can see happening right now this may be the best Nationals ever......

You are so right. It seems some people would like nothing better than to see Knoxville suffer for whatever reason. I look forward to this event because it is THE biggest event in sprintcar racing. I have also noticed how he bashes the track, the format, the management, and about anything else that has to do with Knoxville. I'm sure the Nats will be great this year with plenty of cars and fans.

Don't tell BRR or Cubic Dollars but I always look forward to seeing the Pa guys myself. Did I hear that Donny Kreitz was going to run the Nationals??

naw john is a cool guy ---------- i'll stop there because me and him are exact opposites when it comes to what we like. i mean as opposite as I ever been with anyone. but like i said he is a really cool, nice, and intelligent guy - last year at the 360 nat's talked to him at great length and enjoyed it ------- although we never could sign the truce on what we think of 360's -------- we agree to disagree. although we are opposite on what we think and pretty well stuck down to the axle in those beliefs ----- still just gave opinions respectfully and like i said ----- it was very cool and informative conversations. even learned a thing or 2. although can never shake my preference for 360's - that may have something to do with living in Oklahoma and that being all i really see consistently - i'm sure if I lived in OH or PA I'd prob feel differently ------- but one thing is for sure - 360's put on great nationals at knoxville. i thought out run of 7 or 8 (losin count) 360 nat's attended was coming to a close - just saw the entry list and thinkin they might get up around 90-100. good thing I still have the room reserved - now just gotta figure out the rest.........

|
Current Champion |
Shane Stewart |
|
|
The 18th Annual "360" Nationals will again be a 3-day format on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before the Knoxville Nationals on July 31-August 2, 2008. This will allow the "360" drivers and teams from across the USA and Canada to participate as well in the regular Saturday night, August 2nd "410" racing program.
Many of these same drivers will also race in the invitational Brodix Tournement of Champions on Sunday, August 3rd. Some of these drivers will switch to "410's" for the 2-day show at Southern Iowa Speedway for the 11th Annual Front Row Challenge with wings, and the 5th Annual Ultimate Challenge "without wings".
From there it's back to Knoxville Raceway for the 4-day 48th Annual SuperClean Knoxville Nationals. With over $900,000 in prize money this event attracts drivers and fans from across North America to Australia and New Zealand.
For race fans, it's 10-days of flatout racing, all within a 25-mile area.

2 laps. 3 laps if you request an extra one at the scales, but it has to be a clock-wise lap.

coming from an Ohio/Eldora guy... Knoxville is always the best race of the year... hands down... no need to bash it ever... the inverting the entire field format is the BEST part!!!
the 3rd qaulifying lap joke was pretty damn funny...
I wish Earl still did Eldora's track prep.

Hard to turn down $900,000 purse divided among 100 drivers.
Even the avg driver with a fairly good run can take home a few thousand or more. Qualify good, [lace a heat. finish last in A. Run the C or D main Saturday. Still a good pay day for your avg racer.

Word here is PA is that Greg Hodnett & the Kline 22 team might not make the trip......especially after this weekend. TWO DNQ'S at his home track against the WoO.
