Kaley Gharst – Looking for a Good Ride!

(Bill W) – June 26, 2008 – Last weekend Kaley reached a couple of Milestones. He celebrated his birthday, and turned the ripe old age of 20! Second, he agreed to part with Bruce Williams and the #7K sprint car team after a successful run. Now he is looking for a quality, competitive sprint car ride.

"No one is leaving on harsh terms," says Kaley, who partnered with Williams for almost two years. "I'd like to thank Bruce Williams and the whole team for all the good times we've had. I just wanted to get this word out so that there wouldn't be rumors that there are any hostilities between us. We had a lot of success together. We have been struggling and it was just time for both of us to move on and try something else."

In 2007, Kaley won twelve races including three 410 shows, a 360 Nationals preliminary, the Brodix Tournament of Champions and the Bob Wente Classic at the Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. He was also the Sprint Invaders Association series champion on the strength of seven victories. In his young career, he has already won fifteen times in a sprint car, has three Knoxville 410 wins to his credit, and has won the Knoxville Raceway and Knoxville Nationals Rookie of the Year honors.

The talented native of Decatur, Illinois will probably not be on the sideline long. "I'd love to partner with anyone who has the desire we do to get to victory lane," he says. "I think we proved at Donnellson last week that we can get that done when given the opportunity."
