I know what my good friend Bill (nonwingBill) Armstrong is going to stay but where do you think Tony Stewart ranks with the best of all-time? I personally have always thought that he ranks right up there with A.J. and Mario but that is just me. I know he has a fiery personality (like A.J.) but look at his driving record. Where do you think Tony ranks as far as the driving is concerned?

No one could ever argue with Steve Kinser being the best dirt driver ever. I never have cared for Kinser.....but no one will EVER accomplish near as much as Kinser.

If you are talking about all around, he's in the top 5. The top 2 are Andretti and Foyt. After that are Gurney, Donohue and Stewart. Drivers just don't switch series that much, so it's hard to know how an Earnhardt, Kinser, Opperman, Petty, Mears, Fangio, or many more, would do.

Tony has excelled at dirt, Indy Car, NASCAR and at the Daytona 24 hours. Nothing on Formula 1. Since they called Juan Pablo Montoya "El Gordo", not much chance of that.

I'd like to have seen if he could've hacked it on the WoO curcuit a couple of seasons. He's no doubt a great driver.

Sorry for the late reply. I've been in Puerto Vallarta the past week while y'all have been dodging the ice.

Stewart is fast. But he still stands with the late Bobby Hamilton as the biggest p*&^$k I've ever been around in racing. He just doesn't do it for me.

I agree Bill. You have to give it up to him for at least giving back to where he came from, but other than that he is a real pr**k. He can drive just about anything though.
