I guess no one will be flying in or out of Tulsa or OK City due to ice. Saw it on CNN and Southwest Airlines has cancelled flights. I would have gone if I were able.

I listened to it on RacinBoys.com here in California. Web-cast worked well. The announcers weren't great but I'm not complaining.

Thanks RacinBoys!

Only the early flights left this morning. My flight was only delayed 45 min. Looks like a lot people will be spending an addittional day in the Ice Age! I am so glad to be back in Chicago where they know how to deal with the weather. We don't get the extreme ice as in the south but c'mon, one would think they would be ready with more salt and sand on hand for those emergencies. The roads from the Microtel to the airport were pretty dangerous at 5:00 this morning and there was virtually nobody on the road at that time. I think I saw 3 cars before I dropped off the rental car! All in all with all things considered, all the travelers I spoke with took it all with good spirits and had an awesome time despite what mother nature dealt us Friday and Saturday. Hope everyone makes it home soon and safe.

I hate to bring you down Sandy but you better check the Sacramento weather too! I think you`ll be in for a surprise! The orange crop is taking a hit in your area!

I wish they had cancelled my flight. Sat over 5 hours in the plane at the Tulsa airport. Not very much fun at all.

Luggage lost at the airport here on the return trip. Sposed to be home at 5PM,and its now 11. Not a very good day at all. Wish they had cancelled, and I coulda tried my luck on Monday. Coulda stayed at a buddys house today and be way more comfortable than sitting in the damn plane all afternoon, and going nowhere

Tulsa gets an ice storm like that about every 10 to 15 years and seldom any snow that lasts longer than 24 hours. Not enough in their eyes to spend the $$$ to deal with it.

Guess I'm 1 of the fortunate ones to live 20 miles west of Oklahoma City. We drove out right after the races Sat. night. Roads weren't too bad except for ice on bridges. Sorry mother nature has altered so many people's plans. Hope everyone makes it out safe and soon.

BTW here in El Reno (just west of OKC) we have snow plows and stuff runnin. Not on main roads but thats fine by me. I guess since that horrible ice storm we had about 5 years ago (way worse than this one) woke some people up around here.

OKCFan12, sounds like El Reno is a very Proactive community and saw the benefits of spending the $$$ to deal with it!

I wonder what the bottom line of $$$ lost to the Tulsa area businesses with people staying put not spending their money? The only money I spent while at the CB on Friday & Saturday went to the outrageously priced food at the Expo and at the airport. I was sure glad to get back home and visit my local steak house for a real meal.

I got out just in time on Sunday. Bad stuff between Tulsa and Joplin. After that, all it was was rain from there. Pulled the production trailer. Had some scary moments at times. Glad to be home safe. Will start working on the video this week. This will be one to remember.

hopefully the 15 peaple killed on OK. highways will make them consider at least few more salt trucks.

also found it hilarious that on friday they were already cancelling church on sunday. the world doesn,t have to stop. SALT THE ROADS..
