WoO Lates (52 cars) - Kid Rocket wins on sheer patience.

Attica 410's (42 cars) - You coulda thrown a blanket over Paul Weaver, Brock Mayes & Dale Blaney in the last 10 laps!! Weaver held on to take the win in a thriller.

Great night of racing again at Attica tonight. 50+ WoO Late Models. 40+ 410 sprints. Great A-main in the 410's with Weaver, Mayes, and Blaney going at it for 30 laps. As always - a great Friday night show!

Surprise of the evening - Sebetto the Torpedo! He was hammer down and flying around the top in the B-main and looked pretty good in the A, but I don't know where he finished.

Crew Chief A+++ - I saw Andy Potter wrenching on the 1w during the late model A-main and said "There's your winner. Andy is a master of set ups on a dry/slick track." Congrats to Andy and Paul...they got the car out front and it stayed there with two All Stars nipping at the rear bumper but never getting a good enough run to make the pass.

Oops of the night - Rob Chaney going balls out to get the transfer spot and missing the slider on Hud Horton, putting Horton on his lid. I'm sure Rob felt bad about it - not a move he'd normally not make stick.

Crowd - pretty good turn out and with 90+ cars in the pits, the place was pretty full. Still far from a sell out, but good to see that many people come out when gas prices are high, but not as high as the unemployment rate.

Improvements - ARP added a concrete walk to the restrooms. No more loose pea gravel (or pee gravel since it was on the way to the toilets?).

Thanks to the Attica staff and crew - all in all a very good night of racing with very few complaints. It could have been a little warmer, but that was Norm's fault! smiley

Wow, a race that was led wire to wire without caution, but was still exciting. Weaver had no room for error as Mayes and Blaney hounded him for the last 10 -15 laps.

Basically an AllStar race thrown in with the WoO Lates. Nice promotional move on Atticas part, as very few fans left after the Late Model Feature. Hope they do it again, I'll be there. Both races were very good. Sure wish they would cut it back to one lap quals. though. But the 410 Feat. was over by 11:15 with Heats starting promptly at 8. Thats a pretty well run program. Great job Attica Raceway Park.

BTW Stands were well used, good turnout on a cool but, DRY evening for once.

Take Care
