Skagit Speedway partners with FOOTHILLS TOYOTA and TOYOTA TUNDRA Trucks!

Skagit Speedway is pleased to announce the signing of FOOTHILLS TOYOTA and the TOYOTA TUNDRA TRUCK as 'The Official 2008 Racing Series Sponsor.' Toyota Motor Sales and Foothills Toyota have teamed up with Skagit Speedway to promote the Toyota Tundra Pickup Truck.

"The 2008 Foothills Toyota Tundra Racing Series" will feature the 410, 360, and Sportsman Sprint cars along with the Outlaw Hornets. "I am very pleased with the Toyota program" said track owner Steve Beitler, "Toyota has become a big player in the motorsports world, having them choose Skagit Speedway to promote the new Toyota Tundra Pickup shows their commitment to the grass roots race fans."

Foothills Toyota owner Pam Nelson commented "Foothills Toyota is excited to partner with Skagit Speedway and Toyota to bring the "2008 Foothills Toyota Tundra Racing Series" to Skagit Speedway. We have plans to bring more excitement and family fun to racing in Northwest Washington. With our shared philosophies on community involvement, education and family fun I think the partnership is a win...win...win for Skagit Speedway, Foothills Toyota and Toyota Motor Sales. I look forward to a long relationship with Skagit Speedway, Foothills Toyota, Toyota Motor Sales and the loyal race fans in Northwest Washington starting right now!"

Craig Snider Truck Center Manager / Truck Champion stated "Foothills Toyota is "Proud and Honored" to partner with Skagit Speedway in bringing the "2008 Foothills Toyota Tundra Racing Series" to the faithful fans and followers of Skagit Speedway! This is truly a special opportunity for all of us!"

Toyota recently opened a new state of the art 100 acre truck plant in San Antonio Texas. The new Toyota Tundra is 100% designed and built in America. Toyota was just named "The 2008 Motor Trend TRUCK OF THE YEAR!" Race fans will have an opportunity to see what all the Toyota excitement is about when they visit Skagit Speedway. Fans will see truck displays along with the NASCAR simulator at Skagit Speedway this summer.

Toyota's support is not limited to the track, Randy Jager, Foothills Service and Parts Director commented "The Foothills Racing Team is anxious to begin an exciting partnership with Skagit Speedway. The enthusiasm generated at the track will inspire everyone at the dealership to race to the top of our industry, This will drive Foothills Toyota and Skagit Speedway to be #1."

"We have worked hard to promote Skagit Speedway and to attract corporate involvement like Toyota" stated Beitler, "This is just the start of many great things to come for the fans and racers of Skagit Speedway."

Skagit Speedway kicks off the '2008 Foothills Toyota Tundra Racing Series' with practice at 1pm on April 12th and the season opener at 7pm April 19th.

I thought it would be that all the storm systems would bypass Washington and they could get to race every weekend ;)

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

I thought that H2H said that this was a "big" announcement....Car dealers have sponsored sprint car series. tracks, and individual cars for years.....

I'm sorry, but I don't see the "big" deal here - while it's nice, it's just another sponsor.....

Any details? Are they adding to the point fund, or the weekly purse, or merely providing a pace vehicle?

I think it's a pretty cool deal for fans of Skagit, Washington, and all supporters of dirt track/sprint car racing fans up in the very green Northwest. Rock on!

Great to see any racetrack get some good sponsors on board. great for everyone up there.

There not getting a pace truck from Toyota; there a brand new Chevy pace truck at the track right now

The fans /racer will see the difference in the coming year at Skagit :)
