Any new rookies to watch for in the 360 class this season?

I don't know about this year, but I'm sure Austin McCarl will be attendance when he turns 16, which I am guessing is next year.

RJ Johnson heads the list from what I've gathered so far. He's from the Tampa area and won the East Bay championship last year...

I thought that the 360 class was originally intended to be a rookie class? Last year Knoxville had a guy that had won a point championship in the 410 class at Husets and another that had won one in the 360 class at some other track and had Chuck Swenson listed as a rookie, Knoxville needs to recognize that the 360 class is a rookie class and if you where track champion at another track your not a rookie in a sprint car.

My pick to be rookie of the year a true rookie Jordan St Arnold.

"Knoxville needs to recognize that the 360 class is a rookie class..."

Um, Why is that?

Um, because Knoxville is the Sprint Car Capital of the World!

Does that mean that Russ Hall will be in a 410 this year because his rookie year was last year?

I will still be in the 360 because I have yet to win a race let alone a points champoinship, but hopefully this will change this season and next season I'll make every effort to move up to the 410 class.

The 360 class would be pretty small if it was a "rookie" class. Kind of a stupid comment. The 360 class is a slightly cheaper alternative to 410's basically.

thats right, its just a diffrent class of car...... as for the rookie status, your considerd a rookie at a track if you have never raced there a full season, it dont matter what class of car you drive....if Brian Brown never drove a whole year in the 360 class and decided to this season he would be a "Rookie" even though he is the defending points champion.

Correct. Besides, you only rise to the level of your competition. You should think it's a good thing to race against accomplished racers night in and night out. Whether you realize it or not, you're gaining more experience trying to race your way up to and with those guys than you would be racing people of the same experience as yourself.

Knoxville is the perfect example of 360 racing ending up where it wasn't entended. Skillz its right, in principal the 360 division should be for rookies and people who can't afford to race a 410. I have seen over the years at Knoxville plenty of teams that where better funded than most of the 410 teams still racng the 360 class. Why? Do not tell me it is less expensive because at a place like Knoxville that is total bull. Here in Ohio drivers and owners can't wait to move up and race the best when they can afford it. I like what Rahmer says about guys that race 360's and won't move up. He is a classic!

that might be true in some sort of way with 360 teams that are more funded than some 410 teams but think of this there are way more 360's in the country than 410's so why move up when you can race more and at more tracks in the 360 division....I know that here in Nebraska that 360's is all you have unless you go to knoxville or husets but then again husets only gets what like 15 410's on a good night?? So to me it makes more sense to run a 360 than a 410 unless you live in PA, or can travel to Knox every weekend.

It's pretty funny when you have the 410's drop down and run the 360 nationals or is that for rookies as well?? 360 racing IMO is the better racing between the two.

It's not unique how Knoxville does their rookie status. I remember one of Nascar Cup drivers running some Busch races a couple years ago... the driver was a champion at the Cup level, but was considered a Busch rookie... if I remember right it was Bobby Labonte, but I could be wrong.

Dont look now, but the 360's stopped being a rookie class about 12 years ago. Better head to the 305's if your looking to race with beginners $killz... oh wait... theres some 360 drivers that move down to run those too. Better just hang it up if you can't run with the big dogs... or is it dawgs?

If I turn in a coupon for a sandwich, I can trade down to the less priced sandwich, (thats the rules, "equal or lesser value"), right?

I agree , why is there such a tolerance on a 410 dropped to 360 (driver) or 360 to 305 capable of running for rookie , im calln B.S., even if the 410 ( upper CI class)car was a slug and he(joe driver) competed in consecutive events he is a "410 driver" , or , you dont want Babe Ruth coming to little league tryouts right? , on the flip side, (no pun) I wish I could have a Big Mac for my small fry coupon , nevermind, I lost myself, owell, happens all the time ! gotta go, im hungry...
