Here's an update on the Modified schedule for the Thunderbowl in 2007:
The Western State Modifieds (WSM) Announce 2007 Schedule (open show - no claim - Modified Racing)
FEB-23rd & 24th - world of outlaws - WSM
MARCH-31-07 - golden state challenge 410's - WSM
APRIL-28-07 - golden state challenge 410's - WSM
MAY-19-07 - golden state challenge 410's - WSM
MAY-29-07 - USAC - WSM
JUNE-30-07 - golden state challenge 410's - WSM
off 7-1 till 9-25
WESTERN STATES MODIFIED'S SEPTEMBER -28th-29th-30th U.S. WESTERN MODIFIED NATIONALS $20,000 to WIN!
10-13 - WORLD OF OUTLAWS - WSM
Westernracer.com and the WSM together with Steve Faria and Don Sharp of the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway Announce the 2007 Season Schedule. They also announce the First U.S. Western Modified Nationals in September. $20,000 for first, $10,000 for Second and $5,000 for Third. With almost $50,000 purse money in just the A-Main. This, by far is the richest and biggest show in Western U.S. Modified racing history. The Western States Modifieds are headed by Race Director Michael Mock, Rita Holder Mock, Jim Brown, and Karen Brown. More information can be found at Westernracer.com, the official website for the First Annual U.S. Western Modified Nationals.
I'm guessing the USAC date on May 29 is a typo. I don't think we'll be racing on a Tuesday so I'm sure it means the 27th. When I get confirmation I'll let you know though.

The World of Outlaws have got the updated schedule on their website now and I see the World of Outlaws visit to the Thunderbowl in October is now going to be a single night show on October 13. The date was changed back and forth a few times but it appears to be firmly set now with them publishing it on their website. Hopefully it's set now!!! :)

Gary: Do you know why Tulare would run the modifieds with the Woo in February? I would imagine that there would already be a high car count with just sprint cars and with the curfew it could be a problem. I think it is a good idea that they run the modifieds with the GSC, just not when the WoO is there. I also know that most people come to the WoO race to watch sprint cars and don't really care much about another class of cars.
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!

The SCRA 360 Series actually ran with WOO in February of '05 at the Thunderbowl. With everything being run efficiently, the racing got done with time to spare. As long as the show is ran smooth there should be no problem. Wrecks and other uncontrollable circumstances are what always hurts though.
Lets just hope the turn one hole doesn't resurface and bite everybody like it did in the Fall at the NST show and the Trophy Cup. ;)

I seem to recall that hole making it's presence known at the '05 SCRA/ WoO show as well, resulting in the shortening of the SCRA main to 15 laps...

Less water = less tow trucks
Less water = smaller turn one rut
