LETS HEAR IT FOR JOSHUA!!!

The therapist put him on the bicycle yesterday for 30 minutes and he rode 2.2 kilometers...that is so GREAT Joshua...He said he could feel his muscles in the tops of his legs! How "AWESOME" is that???? Thats where that determination kicks in, and we are just so proud of your strength Josh!!! I hope today is a even better day than yesterday....

WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Thanks Don. Isn't this exciting? Every few days he feels another sensation. For those who don't know - or don't remember - Josh Howard is one of the neatest 22 yr. old "kids" you'll ever know, who was severely injured at the Short Track Nationals. As I am beginning to learn he must have been completely paralyzed from the neck down - but he is gaining feeling in his arms - a small bit of use of his hands, then felt his big brother grab his toe and now is getting some sensation from his thigh muscles. This is a great and devoted racing family. Dad, brothers, cousins - they all race. Josh has a wife and son and a little girl on the way. I'm just hoping and praying that he is able to regain all of his powers. He deserves it. Oh yes - he was also a volunteer fireman (or on the payroll - I'm not sure). Like I said - a really good "kid".

Let's keep this kid's spirits up. Send him a card or a short note.
