We are starting the new year soon and we will be needing ads for the program...

Were talking about having a swap meet

My husband suggested auctioning off some drivers for house and yard work lol ( excluding him of course)

Picture Calenders of SFS drivers and cars

What do U think?

Any ideas????? Bake sales are getting real old

Personally, I would like to see the picture calender of drivers and the cars. There are several ways to accomplish this:

1) One calender with random shots of random drivers throughout the twelve months and the last two pages or so would have alot of pictures thrown together.

2) One calender for each class. This way, all drivers who competed at SFS and supported the track on a weekly basis would get recognised. Maybe the top fifteen or twenty with driver shots, car shots and action shots of said divisions.

3) One of the above mentioned with the dates filled in with what is racing at SFS on them days, including special events. This would also include those Fridays starting the season where O'Reilly Free Nights occur. Fans could look at the date and find their city and plan accordingly to attend.

Another idea is the pictures. Along with doing what you do, spruce them up just as they do on Hoseheads with different graphics to add to the pictures to make them really stand out. Don't know if you have seen ASCS photog Tim Aylwins (sp?) work but they are fantastic. Maybe one of the SFS photogs would like to take time to do this. I really think they would sell.

The guy who owns that new indoor kart track emailed several months ago when it was talked about here that he thought they would be able to give away free passes for the booster club to auction off each month. You could make it a $5 raffle and at the end of each month, the winning ticket would be drawn. At last I spoke to him, he asked for ad space in the program for Pole Position. If interested in that, email me and I will try to find his number.

To sell more programs, see if each advertiser would give something away each week. For example, say if Hooters would give away a twenty piece wing deal then in one program, have it stamped and the person having the program with the stamp wins the certificate for a free win dinner. Same example for the Chuck House.

To enhance the 50/50 sales, there has got to be an off season car show indoors somewhere so not only the drivers can show off their new cars for the 2007 but also get the fans excited about the upcoming season. Think of something to sell there and all proceeds go to the point fund.

I have several more ideas but this is the best I can do at this moment. Anybody else?

A calendar idea don't sound bad.. I think the race fans recognize their favorite race cars but not the drivers, a calendar would associate car & driver

The calenders that Mike Howard has are 8x10 size with an action picture of the car on top and the complete 2007 calender underneath, with two lines on the bottom, the first line specifiies the drivers accomplishment for the season, (example: SFS Champion, Rookie of the Year, Top Ten etc.) the second line has the drivers name. It is a single page calender. They sell for $5 and he can be contacted at [email protected] or you can contact Jacqui Jones with the booster club.

haha, Thanks for the good luck I need it. I think that we need to charge everyone $5 to watch David Jones try to fit into a sprinter again...We'd be rich!

Yes sir, we'll see what we can do up there with an F-4 vs. those R-6's. Anybody else going?

Yeah I am going. Bringing an F-4 is like bringing a pea shooter to a gun fight

i dunno Mike you might be able to do a lot of damage with a pea shooter if you aim it right. I'm sure many warriors fell by the good aim of the mighty pea shooter. lol.

I use my pea shooter all the time. I'm practically a marksman

HAHA You guys stop by and talk for a while. Lee will be a white #61 with a blue frame and silver wings. We can always use some free hot dogs and drinks.

By the way sorry for the post jack, we should have all the racers model underwear. I'm sure the ladies would love Pickard in a speedo.

Geez Brandon, you bring Pickard in on this, who is next? Your taking them out on here like you do on the racetrack.
