Those who can....do. Those who can not ....go on message boards and criticize those who do.

My 2 cents

Seems like it would make sense on some level to have a former Nationals champion in the race, in which case Sweet, Gravel, or Schatz would fit the bill.    Seems like it would also make sense to have a Knoxville Raceway champion in the race, and noone is better suited for that than Brian Brown.   Not sure how he got the deal, but I'm happy for him.   That said though, I still have absolutely zero interest in watching.

Most 360 are in the 16 second range and the trucks will be 20seconds.I would think a better comparison would be an IMCA stock car.One thing is the track will be prepared right if possible. There are many drivers that would draw fans and Brown is one of them. Guys like Stewart,Larson,Schrader, would draw more. Profit is main goal for Knoxville Raceway and glad they are willing to host something different. Its easy to be a critic but BB is very good at Knoxville.

These are not free rides.  I am sure BB came up with sponsors.

Your first paragraph says it all.   Like I said, good for Brown whatever happens but I have absolutely no interest in watching...

C'mon man lawn mower racing is way better than truck racing....It's grass roots racing...BTW are you a motorcycle rider from AU?

Casey's probably will be on the truck. Brian deserves this chance. Will he do any good ? I highly doubt that. This deal has disaster written all over it. There's a huge difference in eldora with the banking and such that helped get the trucks around the track. Koxville doesn't have that luxury. I'm not sure if the trucks have been on the track at knoxville but if they get anywhere near 20 seconds that is going to surprise me. Why they are even still a viable class is beyond me. Maybe nascrap should have crate motor truck racing. Feel the speed and the excitement. :(

I believe Brown got the ride through sponsorship.

nascar is big business with pay to play or sponsorship money

Brown got Rowdy energy drink in all Casey's stores and in return he got a ride! Smart business move

Does anyone really care about what "dirt ringers" get into the race? I mean it's nice Brown will be able to drive in a nascar race at his home track, and I'm sure there will be a couple of minutes of spotlight while Mikey Waltrip murders the English language describing how excited he is that a dirt racer is racing in the "big leagues". But I'm far more likely to be watching Flo or DirtVision that night than to watch this stuff.

Brian got the ride through his connection with Kyle Busch. Kyle owns Rowdy Energy and sponsored Brian and Brian/Casey's  helped push Rowdy into their market. It's completely a business deal. Now get a local who usually runs sprints to run trucks to hopefully get more tickets sold probably doesn't hurt either. There will always be someone more deserving of a ride in every series but the knock down on Brian for just doing his thing is just garbage... but thanks for sharing your thoughts Littlegame.

In hearing that, brownie getting rowdies energy drink in, he deserves it then. Quit bitching, brownie will be there at the end of the year with another knoxville title. That makes his sponsors happy and thats what enables him to do what he loves.

When you look at a roster on Truck Series drivers not many are regonizable. Knoxville with over 21K seating capacity makes it a logical choice.20 second+ laps look pretty slow compared to the 15 second sprint cars. There was a truck series sponsored by Karl Chev that raced in Desmoines and made a couple apperances at Knoxville. I wouldnt be surprized if more dirt track veterans  dont get a chance to wheel a truck like happened at Bristol.I see starting time is 8 oclock so  that will help as day time races on any dirt surface dont work.BB has done an amazing job of getting and keeping sponsers. I actually beleive if you put the top 10WOO or AllStar drivers in  good equal 305 sprint cars on a short track people would pay to watch them. Just an observation but to see the 14th starter win and see someone one come from 24th to 3rd is much better than seeing the pole sitter lap up to 8th.

Everyone benefits with Brian racing in a truck. Sponsors, the track, and as a Knoxville regular I'm happy to see him get the ride. Isn't this what we want to see is a regular racer running with some of the "big dogs"?

You spend way too much time hating.

There were a couple 360's in the 15 Second Bracket this week at Knoxville.  I personally love the 360 division and the 305 division for that matter.

If Schatz wanted to race a truck he would have a ride. I'm guessing he could care less.

What you said.  Brian will bring some good publicity and hopefully, will finish well.  Like him or not, hating on him isn't going to help promote sprint car racing.
