It's been awefully quiet...Am I missing something? How are they going to navigate COVID?

Pretty sure they are selling tickets and I've seen some advertising. What is this COVID you speak of? Treat it like a normal Chili Bowl and I'll be there. Make it a pain in my ass and start limiting stuff and I'll stay home. Their choice. I will be fine either way.

I thought the Chili Bowl has it's very own flu that most go home with and suffer for 4 days before turning back to normal. Can you imagine if the health region decided that every fan who returned home with a hang over, sleep deprivation, dust inhalation or was overdosed on too much racing in too short of a time was a covid case. That would help their numbers reach "epidemic" proportions.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I don't see how this will be possible.
Besides the fact I haven't been charged for tickets yet and called they said still in process.
Look this is indoor freezing cold ,snow , ice rain , than 70 degree's.
There's a flu every year there and you need to be carful not to lick railings , toliets ect...
Over 20,000 people thrusday thru saturday is amazing , but no way under CDC guidlines will this type of indoor event be allowed.
I think they should pull the plug now make it racing only , and only drivers / cars running each day be in building
Saturday will be tough because thats racing from 9am to 11pm .
PPV it and still run it.

I agree. Before everyone gets their undies in a bundle, I didn't say I don't think they should allow spectators. I said I agree there is no way this is going to happen with spectators---at least not anywhere near capacity. And, if they are allowed, pits will be closed to spectators. Racing will not return to "normal" all over until mid-2021. Other professional and college winter sports, such as hockey and basketball, will not return to normal specators until the 2021-2022 season. Baseball will start with restrictions next season and return to "normal" mid-season.
It's too bad, but it's the truth. If you all thought April and May sucked this year, wait til you get a load of November through February. Gonna make last spring seem like a short picnic in the park. (I don't necessarily agree with all that is about to be imposed on us, but it's going to happen whether we like it or not)

Like it or not, but this is probably what's going to happen. If you haven't started stocking up on some basics, now would be a good time to do so. And that doesn't consider what upheaval occurs after the election. Not turning this political, doesn't matter who wins, but I expect shenanigans to occur whichever side wins.

Curious--how much money do you expect them to "make" off of your ticket money? If it's substantial, can you find out for me what bank they are holding the money in? I would like to open an account. My bank is paying fractions of a percent. ;)

I know-----but you were worried about the money they were going to make of YOUR ticket------which would be $7.50 at 2.5%
As someone who has gotten a paycheck through this entire fiasco, I gladly let Knoxville keep my money until next year as my income did not suffer and theirs did. I would let the Chili Bowl keep my money, if I were able to, so these venues that are suffering from major losses of revenue, can find a way to bridge the gap. JMO

Aparently I am not the only one that is entertained by those who think that surrendering their wealth to a racing business will get them enshrined in the public square next to the statue of Mother Teresa. ;)

That last statement was from 8/26/20 so 56 days ago still no prcessed tickets.
they did state that with all thats gone on in 2020 theres been logistical delays. Guess thats there way of saying pandemic
Oklahoma was just on news bracing for worst spike after seeing texas shoot up over %80 hospital compacity.
Hope they move the dirt in anyway, as for shoot out with 700+ cars haha kids might be home after christmas this year.
I'm not stoked on this pandemic for the record I haven't been to a track since March 8th...a little pissy right now.

OF COURSE new Covid results are soaring. 13 days to the election. This is how the Left wants it.
