I thought shows were starting to run more efficiently since last season. Not  fan of time trials but its part of the process.  I have not seen so much wasted time until I started watching dirtvision and the WOO shows. Tonight at Lake Ozark show starts at 7:30. Now at 9:00 still waiting for opening ceremonies and heats. Track prep taking forever.. Is it just WOO. Last time I watched WOO same thing. Finally turned it off and went to watch Allstars. So the kiddos can see some sprint cars race

It's ridiculous that they had to wait for track prep to be done to start opening ceremonies.

Might be because Lake Ozarks is in the Central Time zone so it's only 8pm there. I don't mind them taking the time to prep the track as long as the racing is good. Big Cat just took a wild tumble from midway backstretch to middle of 3&4 for. Thankfully he walked away

Time difference has nothing to do with it. Start time of 7pm EST turns into about 7:20 before cars hit the track and then have to scrape the whole track after just hot laps and qualifying with just 38'ish cars. 2:38 hours from the original start time and they're still just barely into the 2nd heat.

*Edit: Well the drivers aren't helping now either! Just threw a red to conserve fuel in heat 2. That's a first for me.

Yes a lot of attrition so far. I have no where to go. Of they had to do all of that after 38 cars that's on the track, not the Outlaws. So far each race they have had this year has been great so I'm not going to throw a fit over a little delay. If there is no support classes then the rest of the evening should flow pretty good baring any more long red flags due to wrecks. Hopefully no more prep isn't needed.

A red flag for a fuel stop in heat race? Might not be as far fetched as it sounds.

It's 10pm local time and they're ready to start the A main. It's not that bad.

I made a post last year on facebook about a race at Jackson Motorplex working on the track at 11:40 pm and not pushing off the A tell after midnight which the track manager had said no regular would ever finish after midnight or next weeks would be free I was told next day on Facebook by track owner to never come back to his BLANKETY-BLANK track again I thought this was a very nice way to treat a person that has gone to the races at Jackson for more than 55 years and also worked at the track for 6 years when and if Minnesota opens up again I'll have to think long and hard about going back      Glen Murra                 Don't complain to much you might be told not to come BACK LIKE I WAS they know they can get along without fans now

Boohoo. Since i'm not spending any $$ going to the track. I got Flo & DV both, 2 laptops, watching Allstars & WoO, no down time at all.

We're lucky there's any racing at all.  During WW2 they went 4 years with ZERO races

I always like WoO standalone shows because they generally move along quickly.  I also thought last night took too long, especially with the car count they had.  My one constructive criticism would have been to forego the heat race winner interviews (or at the very least move them off the track so the next heat can race.  Heat race winner interviews is not a high ranking priority on my list generally, fine if time is flowing, but when things are running behind, scrap them.  I can't wait for the DirtVision app to come out so it will make toggling back and forth between different events easier.  Right now I use an HDMI cable to my TV (every time I try to AirPlay I feel like the picture lags just slightly), so I have to physically go and swap screens to get a different event.  Looking forward to Attica running next week so that will be another option to choose from.

I was kinda thinking the same thing.  I didn't really realize anything unusual about it.  I didn't even watch time trials and heats.  Came home from fishing, turned it on during the dash draw------didn't seem to be running late.

Promoters are going to have to wise up. People go for Sprint car racing. People watch online to see sprint car racing. Run the sprint car show with normal breaks then run other classes. It's ridiculus how long shows have become.

I flipped between the WoO Sprints and Late Models and the IRA/All Stars show and managed to watch most of both Sprint Features on one TV but couldn't work the LM Feature into the mix.  These races as pointed out were all CST and I didn't look closely at the time but had to be done with the races by 10:30.  Maybe I'm missing something but in my world any race that's done before midnight is a winner.  Especially when it's 20 feet to the bedroom and not 200 miles through deer country at 3am.  No complaints on the length of any of the races I followed last night.

One legitimate criticism the last 2 weeks is that they are starting the time trials too early and the track is not staying fast throughout. This makes its very difficult on the drivers at the end of the order and necessitates too much track prep time.

Scheduled start time was 6pm. That is awful for a single class with 38 cars.

Tonight's start time pushed back 1/2 hour already...

Of course its not WW3... duh.

But we're not missing 4 years of racing either. We'll probably miss a good chunk of the season, at worst the whole season. Like I said, boohoo. Some people in the USA just wish they could breathe....

Some of these people screaming about freedom & "government control" have a conception of freedom shared by spoiled brats. "We wanna do what we want, who cares if we spread a deadly disease".... Ever learn how the Roman Empire controlled "the masses"? Bread & circuses. Now its beer & 410s (sorry BHG, its a great phrase...)

Just be patient & we'll all live to watch races again. I'm gonna watch 2 tonite....
