I thought I'd start a fun thread......Well, it's fun in my mind. What sayings have you heard while at the dirt track that if you had a dollar for every time you heard it, you'd be a rich man.

I'll start.

When the Outlaws come around for the four wide salute, inevitably some guy in the stands near me says,

"They ought'a start 'em four wide."

When the med flight helicopter lands at Eldora during the event, all the people that point & say "look there's Tony Stewart flying in on his helicopter." Mind you this is after the fact that they have already shown him on the video board, or he's driven by on an ATV, or my personal favorite when he was competing in the event and had already driven on the track.

Some other personal favorites are the countless sanctioning body conspiracies that people talk about. And finally one specific to this board is when a certain poster posts about the track prep at a certain track that the Outlaws may or may not be racing at this weekend

It’s false advertising that there is a Ford decal on Shatz’s hood and a Chevy under it!.....Wait, that’s all a moot point now isn’t it. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

Some drunk yelling "Let's go!!!!!!" anytime there's even a second of downtime with rain on the way and/or during a night that ran unexpectedly late.

Not heard at the track but frequent Twitter posts:

-Its not an exciting or fantastic or great race, it was “bad ass”

- Between March and May, people being very angry at “Mothrr Nature not being a race fan” as though spring rain is unprecedented.

Yup......I should have thought of that one first.  I bet I've heard that 10,000 times----or, at least it seems that way!

"How many are they taking?"  (just as the first heat lines up as the announcer tells you everything but the line-ups or how many are transfering)

We wouldn't say it all the time if it didn't happen all the damn time.

As I have gotten older, my tolerance for marginal racing has gone down.   I now find myself simply leaving tracks that are dust bowls.

When announcer repeatedly tells people to "buy adult beverages" (mostly in the Midwest...)

A) Is "beer" a dirty word???

B) If people wanna drink, they will, without constant prodding!
