does anyone offer a device that allows you to listen to the announcers voice during a race? because you can't hear anthing during the race. if anyone watches the usac replays on youtube. i really enjoy listening to their announcer
do the " play by play " during the race. also the woo races.

I have seen tracks over a radio channel for people to use if they want listen to the announcer. I have seen them have the radio channel on Eldora's website (see screen shot from their website below). When my dad goes he takes his headphones that have a radio in them so he can program the channel and follow along with the announcer. Not sure if all tracks do this on their websites or if the sanctioning bodies show it on their website. Suggestion I would have is talk to one of the track employees, maybe by the pressbox to see if they know of the radio channel that they are broadcasting on.

This would be a good thing for a lot of people. At Wilmot, they have a decent sound system, and where I sit on the top row, there is a speaker directly in front of me, but down by the fence. Plenty loud with no on track action but during a race? Forget about it. I don't care either way as I like to scan the track and the announcer may be talking about guys that I am not watching. I guess it is a personal choice

Both Eagle Raceway and I-80 Speedway have FM channels that can be monitored from the grandstands or pit areas......they actually have about a 1 mile radius......we usually announce the frequencies during the night.........hardly any tracks have a PA you can hear above the racecars, especially sprints (unless they have to run mufflers)...........SC

As mentioned above, some tracks publish their FM frequency. Eldora is like 87.9 FM.
Also, I think some of the series have their own scanner frequency that can be picked up at the track. Haven't used a scanner in a few years, but I know USAC channel could be picked up at the Springfield mile in past years during the silver crown race.

I sometimes do this with earbuds and my phobe. Typically dirtvision at WoO shows and the Knoxville radio broadcast can be streamed. It IS beneficial because you get to hear info from the pits you might miss otherwise.
