AFTER A MONTH OFF BRODY ROA BACK AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY SATURDAY!
(Buena Park, CA, October 18, 2017) After a month-long break in the schedule, Brody Roa will be back in the driver’s seat of his bright green #91R when the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to action this Saturday night, October 21st, at Perris Auto Speedway. Spectator gates at the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval will open at 5:00 P.M. and the first race will be at 7:00.
Saturday’s race is the final tune-up at Perris for Roa and the other competitors for the November 9th, 10th and 11th Budweiser Oval Nationals. Sandwiched in between Saturday’s race and the Ovals will be the 50th Annual Western World Championships at the Arizona Speedway.
The series will be making its eighth appearance of the season at Perris on Saturday. Through the first seven races, 26-year-old Roa has never finished worse than 8th. He has four top fives at The PAS this year and they include a second-place outing at the “Salute to Indy” on Memorial Day Weekend. The last time he was there on September 23rd, he was fast qualifier and finished third in his heat. However, a power steering malfunction sent him to the back for the start of the main. After wrestling his car around for 30-laps, he came home with a hard-earned eighth-place finish.
Heading into Saturday’s race, Roa is still second in the championship standings with six races to go in the 2017 campaign.
A win by the talented driver would make it two in a week for the Roa household. Last Saturday night, Tailor Roa, Brody’s wife, won her first ever go-kart main event at Wheel2Wheel Raceway in Victorville.
After the conclusion of the current USAC/CRA season on November 11th, Roa is hoping to pick a midget and a 360 sprint car ride for the prestigious Turkey Night Grand Prix on Thanksgiving night at the Ventura Raceway. The team will have its good-looking shirts in the pits at all the remaining races. Cost is $20.00. For those who cannot attend, the shirts are available by mail for $20.00 plus $7.00 shipping in the USA (foreign countries contact for shipping costs).
