FORMAT ANNOUNCED FOR KYLE LARSON’S OUTLAW KART SHOWCASE PRESENTED BY BRANDT

CORNELIUS, N.C. (August 18, 2017) - The format for the third annual Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase Presented by BRANDT has been announced. This year’s event at Chico, California’s Cycleland Speedway on September 4th and 5th, will be spread over the two nights. Unlike the single-day format for the Open division in previous years, this time the heats for the Box Stocks, 250 Intermediates, and Opens will all be held on Monday, with last chance and feature races on Tuesday. The highest guaranteed purse in Outlaw Kart racing will pay $300 to the Box Stock winner, $600 to the 250 Intermediates, and $6000 to the Opens.

Two added twists to this year’s format will include a Monday night Mystery Feature for the Open division paying $1000 to the winner and a $1000 bonus if a B-Main transfer can win the Open Showcase on Tuesday, making that driver’s total haul $7000. Also, with the change to a two-day format for the Opens, the NASCAR and World of Outlaw drivers that will compete will be seeded directly into Tuesday’s 30-kart Showcase feature, utilizing hot lap sessions on that night to earn their starting positions. Visit the Information tab on OutlawKartShowcase.com for detailed formats for all three divisions.

“I’m really excited about this year’s format,” said Larson. “Having the Open heats on Monday will make Tuesday much more manageable time-wise and get people home earlier, and the track should be in typical Cycleland condition with awesome racing throughout the night. This should be the best Showcase race yet.”
