So disappointing that that shower came along. Was shaping up to be an excellent night, and being that it was sort of a 'new' event, there was easily 10 cars that could have won. A very diverse field, with some heavy hitters. Track was crazy fast and tacky. Luckily friends made it fun, even with the rain out. Big shout out to Maddog53, egras, and Stealth87. Hopefully we can all make it for the new June 8th date. Perhaps mother nature will make it up to to us with a nice long stretch of excellent race nights.

It's a real bummer that this happened as the make up show will not have the same luster that this race was going to have.  As it sounds now, the make up date won't even carry the ASCOC sanction and car count and fan attendance on a Thursday night will likely be half of what it was last night.

Just an update for you on the qual times Bill - the announcer forgot about the last minute WOO show at AP last year that saw the outlaws shatter Balog's NSL track record.  Donny Schatz was the track record holder heading into the night at 11.718.  There was only ONE car that bested that time last night.  May be a moot point though as I'm not sure if the new record will stand with the rain out

I believe I heard last night that the NTR will stand. I really feel for Brandon Spithaler. He's been struggling this year with the ASCoC, and was finally having a great night. 4th fastest in hot laps to setting a NTR and besting 52 other cars in qualifying. Really hoping that the makeup date flies the ASCoC colors. I still believe they strategically picked that date as the ASCoC runs in Lincoln, IL on the 9th and Macon, IL on the 10th. I haven't given up hope that the June 8th show will be a co-sanctioned show. A lot of these All Star guys have regular jobs. So that show will probably be dependant on who can all make the haul over for a Thursday night show.

Good point about Schatz! Never thought about that last night. From what I read on their Facebook page, the all stars stated that they are going to talk to their teams to see if they can make that rescheduled night, and then decide to sanction or not. They are in Illinois the next 2 nights after that, so it's a possibility. I certainly hope so, that was a great field. Also hoping some of the true outlaw teams can make it again too.

I was keeping on eye on the event from afar via social media and was super pumped to see that many quality cars.  Looked like a stout field for sure.  Darn Ma Nature.  Hopefully the ASCOC teams give good feedback.  Not sure how many can swing a Thursday show, but they no doubt scheduled it knowing they'd be in IL the next two nights.  But again many have FT jobs so taking off a Thursday and Friday may be hard for some teams.  Good move by the ASCOC to consult the teams first.

When a sanction (specifically ASCOC and WoO) is in WI I love seeing the co-sancstions with IRA.  Good stuff!

What am I, chopped liver?  You're right though, the hanging out afterwards made up for some of the fact that it was rained out. We'll be there on June 8th.

Thank you!  I should have known that as I was there that night as well...

Yeah Mike.  Hanging out afterwards and hearing some of Carmens stories, really did take the pain out of the evenings cancellation.  Had a blast despite the weather

Thanks Mike, Stealth, Maddog, (you too Shanefan) and all of the others hanging out pre-race and after the show was called.  Had a nice fire until midnight and had a lot of laughs.
