Probably couldn't find room for all of the t-shirt trailers.;)

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

It rained there earlier today creating a beautiful wet, heavy track. Oh I forgot ... the WoO don't like it that way so they forced them to cancel on a beautiful 80 degree fall evening. Guess they were afraid of racing tonight with short track master Chad Blonde on hand. ;)

I don't understand the WoO... was the track that flooded??? They called the races at like 1 o'clock and it didn't rain the rest of the day up here. They could have pumped the track for hours and started the races at 8 or 9 or even later. They definitely didn't try!!!! They need a wet track to begin with anyway. Pump the track, get trucks out there to push the moisture down, and get the races going. Bad job by the WoO! I suppose since it's a two day show they decided one day was enough since they were tired from driving 1000+ miles from Pennsylvania.

The Outlaws don't do the track prep and they would leave the call up to the people who know how much water the grounds can handle. Princeton is high banked so the track itself recovers quickly but the infield and track get flooded out in 3&4. When that happens they have to pump the water out into the parking lot. The pit and push off area get real muddy too so it probably had as much to do with getting the tractor trailers in and out of there as the track itself.

I have been to Princeton for enough WoO and weekly shows that I wasn't surprised or upset about the call. I expected them to cancel yesterday and was surprised they didn't make the call earlier. I don't think there's any WoO conspiracy, we got a lot of rain in a short amount of time. The ground is soaked up here and there were flash flood warnings for most of central Minnesota yesterday. It's always a disappointment when there's a rainout but I don't think they're "out ta getcha!" :)

P.S. Does Princeton have a curfew? The Fairgrounds is in a residential area so it wouldn't surprise me.

We're in the Forest Lake area and Dennis Jones said that they got the same amount starting at 3am in the Princeton area. Their shop is just a couple miles south of the track.

Our yard had standing water and the ditch was flooded half way across the road. That's a lot of water in a short time.
