Bill W,

I have a question about why Jake Peters was removed off of the points list at Knoxville. If he would have raced one more night, and made the twin features, he would have finished easily in the top 10 of points. Just curious. Thanks

Jeff

I'm assuming it's because he didn't participate in 75% of the events.

Jake is HURT and can not race yet.

head injuries sometimes take days to heal, sometimes years.

Jake is smart enough to know that he might not be back to normal and made a mature well thought out decision to watch until he is healed.

Thank you Jake for your entertaining fans for years.

Duane

David's right, you have to compete in 75% of the point shows.

I understand the 75% thing, but when someone has raced at that track for several years and was one race short of 75%, only because of the fact he was hurt and mainly didn't want to take a chance of hurting someone else because of it and still finishes top 12 in points, you shouldn't get your points and money taken away from you. He didn't choose to go race elsewhere. He has supported the track, shouldn't they support him?

Duane,

I knew he was injured, I also know Jake is smart enough, to pull off when it isn't safe any more. I am not sure what that had to do with my question. Thanks Bill W, I didn't realize they had the 75% rule. Z-man, that would be kick ass if Jake would return for Little Rock. And cake, I have to agree with you 100%.

I thought Jake was hurt much earlier in the season than he was.

Not a lot was said about his being hurt and didn't lmopw if you even knew of that part.

sorry for any confusion.

Jake was hurt badly before the Knoxville season even began but ran up until twin feature nights, when it became obvious he could'nt risk his life anymore.

cake, I see your point. He was actually three shows short though. Rules are rules, this one has been around awhile. I felt for Randy Anderson. He was actually one show short after his emergency surgery. At least Marty Johnson got in the owner's points.

It sucks to see a guy miss half the season and still end up where he did in points. It sucks for Jake, but rules are rules.
