Assuming Larson knew how to drive all along, what explains the sudden resurgence of Ganassi at Homestead and this year?  The equipment looks faster than most of the competition, they aren't lucking into these finishes.

I'm very happy that Chip is being rewarded for taking a chance on Kyle with both his success and his loyalty to him, especially when I'm sure that 3/4 of the top teams have tried to sogn him away from Chip. And I'm very happy that Kyle is finally having the success we all knew that he was capable of.

Building their own cars this year might have a little to do with it.

Nascrap has these young guns running up front along with some really good racing going on. Watching Kyle, Blaney, Elliott and I do like watching the 78 team run up front. Now a 2 car team with Eric Jones, another young gunner getting in the mix. I say remove more downforce and watch the real drivers get to the front.

Glad to see him win another. The races are still boring when pit stops and penalties contribute to the outcome.Kyle Larson is one of the best things NASCAR has as far as bringing new fans. Larson.Elliott,Blaney,Jones ,are the future.Even though Bush,Logano,Johnson,Keslowski,Earnhart are the stars things are changing. The childlike behavior of some gets old.Lason has opportunities with Chip being able to race sprints and midgets and would guess at some point get a chance to run Indy that most other owners wouldnt allow.Kyles equiptment and pit crew are on same level as the top teams and he will become better with more experience.I still cant beleive the coverage Nascar gets from the time they unload for practice on.

I'll probably get roasted for this by the racing purists, but I feel like the 3 segment racing has not been a bad thing at all.  Nascar was getting boring--no doubt.  Think of them as heats I guess---does that help?  I have watched more races this year already than I watched all of last year and I have to say, I am at least entertained.  Saturday night at the dirt track?  No.  But still more entertaining than anything else on TV has been most Sunday afternoons.

As far as what's different this year for Kyle?  There was a combination of bad luck, poor choices by Kyle, bad decisions by the team, and Chip's cars not being all that good that led to their demise over the last 3 years.  I still feel like Kyle would have 10 wins already had he held out one more year and jumped in the 24 car but he is proving himself worthy by taking this 42 team to the top.  Keep it up and he may revive Sunday afternoon racing.  He is no doubt the most exciting driver on the track.

I do have to say though--I get entertained when I listen to people like Michael Waltrip talk about Kyle like he has finally found out how to win.  Laughable.  Michael---Kyle won more races by his 18th birthday than you won your entire career.  Do some research before you go on the air.

Since Larson is "Locked in" for the chase does this mean he will jump into one of the Indy cars for the 500? I would be very curious to see how he could do. With little practice it seems like he could drive about anything.

The one thing Kyle had to learn in NASCAR is it's a long race not a short sprint.  Most of his racing had been in shorter races where you pretty much just drive what you have as hard as you can the entire time.  He tried that in NASCAR and would be fast for awhile.  But always faded at the end.  He had to learn patience and when to push it and when to not.  He also had to learn how to communicate with his crew chief and tell him what the car was going to need for the next part of the race.  That inlcuded how the track was going to change and how he was going to drive it.  That's as big in these races as the actual driving.  He seems to be putting that all together now and along with improved pit stops as well as learning how to restart is making him a contender all the time.  We all knew he could drive a car and thought he would figure these out too.  It was just a matter of time.  It's looking like that time is here.  Those guys down there have to be nervous.  They know all this too.  We could be seeing the start of a new era of dominence.  Its fun to watch.

I hope it's not the opposite - Chip and Felix tell him since he and the team are leading the points and running so well, they tell him no extracurricular activity. I was really hoping the white Silva 57 comes back this year and Kyle runs some of All Star Speedweek again.

Equally as nice would be the Silva 57 making another appearance at Knoxville in August.  I see they are in Michigan that weekend.  I remember Tony and Kasey flying out from Michigan one year so Kasey could jump in the Roth car so I know it's possible.  Will have to wait and see.

Pretty sure Kyle said on Twitter or an article somewhere that he would NOT be at Nats this year.

I only am watching Nascar because of Larson. If Kahne got back to winning, i'd probably watch for him too. Stages, or whatever, it's s star-driven sport. If Larson is this good all year, I'll be watching every week.

My thoughts exactly. I bad mouth NASCAR as much as anybody on here but I've been tuning in every week to watch the 42. And will continue to do so. That is until he goes to F1.....

Like someone said above, take more downforce out of the cars. Kinda like a non wing sprint car. It is slower but the racing is awesome.

This is the truth...Probably also makes more money at one Target appearance than if he'd win about 5 sprint car races...
