I know that everybody on here are mostly winged sprint car fans but thought I'd post this anyway. Former USAC driver, Kevin and Lauren Besecker's 8 month old son, Drake, had major skull surgery a week ago at Childrens Hospital in Dayton. Unfortunately, he has had one complication after another and what they thought would be the worst days right after surgery were actually the best ones. Lauren is updating a Care Page for Drake as time permits if you would like more details or want to leave a message for them. The link is http://www.carepages.com/?extrefid=tlcinvite2

Name of Page is DrakeBesecker - no space. You will have to register on this site to be able to view the page.

Meanwhile, Lauren planned to utilize the Ronald McDonald house across the street from the hospital but hasn't been able to leave Drake' side. Rather than everyone sending cards, flowers, or gifts, it was suggested that pop/beer can tabs could be collected and then donated to the Ronald McDonald house in Drake's name. Lauren doesn't want anyone to mail them anywhere so as not to incur any costs. She plans to pick them up from various collection points and finalize the details of this project once things settle down with Drake. I do know that Lawrenceburg Speedway is a dropoff point as well as Gas City and Kokomo if anyone is headed in those directions.

So .... start saving those tabs and please say a prayer for Drake's recovery.
