This guy has some killer photos of the WoO from the 80's & 90's. Lot's of candid pit shots and race cars in motel parking lots.
Ge tready to blow an hour or 2 in this rabbit hole.

I think it should be mandatory under WoO rules that your tow rig must have a spare wing strapped on top of the roof.

Thanks for the posting saphead....I have had those photos posted for quite some time, never thinking that anyone may be interested...they are scans of prints...We attended the Knoxville Nationals for 20 yers...'86-'05....always a hoot to shoot in the pits...I am not, and do not, claim to be a photographer...just a guy with a camera...please feel free to share the website with the racing community...and as time goes on, I have the balance of my prints to scan and post...Thanks again, and thanks to Denny Krieger for bringing this to my attention!

These are awesome.
I love going to Steve Hardin's website as well and just looking at past pics.
There's an account on twitter that posts vintage sprint car pics, I'll let him know about your collection.

Cool stuff. Thanks.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
