There may end up being a bidding war but it will end way below the asking price.
I seriously doubt there has even been 1 "serious" buyer for Wastelands at the asking price.
Serious buyers have money & financing to complete a deal, anyone that doesn't have the money lined up to close the deal is nothing more than a tire kicker.

What I can not believe is that the statement used the word "posers" when describing it's potential buyers.
Oh there's some posing going on, you can believe that. LOL
I am sure it will get sold, probably not this season though and definately NOT for full asking price.

If it sits idle too long support classes will find other options. They're annoying to hard core Sprint fans but the new owner will need them. Any time there's a closure or some kind of shakeup such as a sanction change they never go back to the way they were. Another track could jump on the Sprint classes as well then it can be a problem luring them back.

I believe Park Jefferson added two classes of sprints to their 2017 program, but I do not think either is 410.
I believe IMCA Racesaver & ASCS 360 Rules class? Not 100% on that though.

Why doesn't he at lease entertain leasing the facility while it's up for sale? Leaving it sit idle is the stupidist thing he can do.( And before you "blazer haters" jump in....no I don't have the means to lease it!) At least by leasing it he can get something back in the form of cash, and the primary maintenance will be taken care of. As it is now, it's a continuing expense for him with no return. And if he wants any kind of real offer, he better keep the appearance of the entire facility up as best he can.

That ties in with what I said about retaining his core group of racers and fans. Turn key means a lot more than facilities and equipment. If it sits idle for a season or two it starts over with former racers and fans scattered in all directions.

Totally agree. Tony Moro said the same thing to the Iowa State Fair Fairboard when they decided to bulldoze the 1/2 mile this past fall/winter.
They have delusions that if they build a new track in 3-5 years that everyone will just come on back....

Yes we can confirm that Park Jefferson has added both racesaver and 360 sprints for Saturday nights. The 360 rules will followASCS rules and are on the website at www.parkjeff.com.

OK - I have a question, is Park Jefferson the track that sits beside the interstate??? Last time that I was by that track looked like maybe a 1/4 mile pretty high banked (from what I could see driving about 80mph).
THANK YOU

It's called Raceway Park now instead of Interstate Speedway.
