He didn't "retire" because he wanted to see the kiddos grow up, that's one. If you are going to "retire" for that reason be a little older at least and don't have a big source of your funding go poof at the same time. Because if you do some people are going to be smart enough to call bullshit on your bullshit. For anyone who thinks all of the things that gave them a competitive advantage those two  years (in house this, in house that) could have been funded  by every source they had left after the Luck money disappeared plus maybe one new partner I have more sad news for you: Santa Claus doesn't exist either.

I've known santa, Easter bunny, tooth fairy, and even certain superior beings  don't exist from a very young age so you're not breaking any new ground with me. Not offending anyone with your junior high insults.

Again your opinion does not make sense and it's pretty much based on your dislike for an individual. First of all your assumption that he didn't retire because of the kids doesn't hold merit. At the time he retired one of his kids was entering school which means they are not able to bring them to the track every week. Having a child myself I can see how someone wouldn't want to travel as often as the Outlaws do.

Your opinion would make more sense if Meyers were to race say 50 times a season, or if he came back on tour the year or two after but he didn't. If you win 2 outlaw championships you are going to have opportunities. Whether its sponsorship or another ride,  i dont care how arrogant people percieve you. And since he has been semi retired it looks like he has helped start a business & he and his wife have had another child. So I would say that his reasons for retiring full time are pretty justified.

Weird, thought I saw something about facts. I see exactly one in this post.

Last comment on this topic: The spin on how this all happened from the Meyers camp was "fake news" before that term became the name for it. How you can see the four things you mentioned for what they are and not this one puzzles me but I will scratch my head and move on.

Ok move on. Since you used the term "fake news" tells me all I needed to know about the intelligence level I was talking  to. Had I known that earlier I wouldn't have even bothered replying in the first place. Facts are obviously a foriegn concept to you.

Hahahaha this thread cracked me up. Just gonna add I believe KKR made the right choice in Pittman. He won the title and got the job done. Would meyers have won too? Maybe. But regardless I don't think anyone touches Schatz's dominance from 2014 on...

I would agree completely with your statement. Pittman right choice & no one could really get close to what Schatz has done the past 4 years.

The Northpole Nightmare, Bill Balog.  He's got over 100 410 feature wins, he beat the WoO at Beaver Dam a couple years back, he was a strong runner with the NSL (picked up a pair of feature wins with them).  I'm not saying he'd reel off a bunch of WoO championships, but he'd be competitive for sure.  I think the WI scene is growing and as it gets a little more attention, I'd love to see a couple of guys try making the jump.  That travel though . . . yikes.  The funding it takes to do a WoO tour is so tough.  But driving ability, Balog could hold his own.

There are plenty of PA drivers who beat the outlaws regularly who wouldn't have much success on the tour. Same with Knoxville guys. Obviously PA, Knoxville, and Cali are the other hot beds of 410 racing but winning All-star races would be your best bet IMO. Its the closest thing to running the WoO tour. Cali drivers is what I'm least familiar with but they seem to produce some hot shoes out there; Larson, Macedo, Scelzi...

That being said Reutzel and Macedo are two that seem like no brainers to me. Two years ago I would've said Sheldon and Dale Blaney but man has Blaney been quiet without George Fisher. Meanwhile Sheldon is still crafting his consistency and patience.

"Plenty of PA drivers".......and "regularly"......are you kidding? A win now and then at WG is a far cry from beating the WoO anywhere else!

I didnt necessarily mean winning races by "beating the outlaws." But yes the top 5 in WoO shows at WG, Port, & Lincoln is consistantly filled with 2 or 3 PA drivers. Therefore they are beating 13 or so fulltimers on regular basis. Donny and Gravel are the only full time guys consistantly beating the Posse. I hate to admit that as a fan from Ohio but its true.

EDIT: After looking at results from 2017 I'll add Pittman to the list of Outlaws who gets the best of the posse.
