In my opinion Barry Kettering was the best sprint car driver from Minnesota. Jerry Richert and Don Mack are a close 2nd & 3rd.

I saw Barry Kettering race numerous times and agree he was a great talent. I think Jerry Richert with being IMCA Champion and a Knoxville Nationals Champion and Don Mack Little 500 Winner, Minnesota State fair Winner, Runner up in IMCA points, World of Outlaws original, front runner with whoever he raced against are ranked ahead of Barry. Don is from East Grand Forks Minnesota not North Dakota as mentioned. I would hate to pick between Jerry and Don for Number 1, however rank them 1 and 2.

The legendary Italian-American race car services driver Mario Andretti, who went beyond motorsport, is ranked first. Mario Andretti, a well-known figure on a global scale, is one of just two drivers to have triumphed in the Formula One, Indy Car, World Sportscar Championship, and NASCAR.
