"Where in the country do 4 former touring outlaws race on a weekly or regular basis?"

Dale Blaney, Danny Smith, Dean Jacobs and Rob Chaney have all been touring outlaws at one point in their careers and run Ohio regularly if not a weekly basis. Kelly Kinser and Ed Lynch JR. even make occasional visits and I'd be willing to bet that the grove's track record holder has ran more here than there lately.

If Fred or Lance jumped into an Ohio ride all of you would be screaming "POSSE" at the top of your lungs.

Same ol', same ol'. Take It Easy.....

What does this refer to? At the movies again? You may have missed something, but this is a site where people that actually GO TO RACES make comments about what they saw AT THE RACES. If you actually went, you know, to the races, you could appreciate how fast Schatz is right now and how tough it is to qualify at 410 races in some parts of this country with 45 plus cars showing up. Instead of sitting at home, and typing. How about you go out and buy a ticket to a race? Actually do something that will help the sport. You may actually make some friends, although if you are as arrogant in real life as you come across on your posts, they may not last long.

Dang, I bought a couple last weekend and have been to see the Outlaws in 3 States this year, not bad for a Canadian guy, might buy another ticket next week when they are in this area. Hey RH let me know when you pass 500 in Outlaw races seen, a number I did a few years ago, okay? There is a big difference between arrogance and confidence, lol and I got more friends than I should have anyway. See ya' at the movies, Take It Easy....

PS Bear, you've really lost the plot, I know way too much about PA racing which is why I can pump up the Outlaws all the time, sorry.....

I think you may be referring to the picture on a previous post? See, that is a picture from a race that they call the King's Royal. It was ran at Eldora last weekend and Donny Schatz smoked the field. Whenever someone wins that race, they are referred to as KING until the following year. Hence the title "King Donny". Last year the title read "King Joey". See, it changes every year unless someone wins 2 years in a row, then they are referred to as KING for 2 years. It's a really neat tradition. You should read more into it sometime.

It's 2007. Wake up and smell something other than green kool-aid. Every king dies and someone else eventually takes his place. It's just the way it is. Get over it.

Lost the Plot? Hmmmm not sure I follow cause I havent been reading any novels lately or watching movies on race nights. Not sure how you would know so much about PA racing when you spent 10 yrs up the Outlaws tailpipes.

PowerSlave....your answer is a little off base. When I said touring I meant 1full year on the tour. Chaney has never ran a full tour and I dont beleive Dean has either although he's started out on the tour a few times and super subbed. Blaney and Smith are legit although I'll give you Smith since he runs Ohio when the All Stars arent running anywhere else.

A few weeks ago it was 1000 WoO races.... What gives?

I have taken a few pictures for my own enjoyment at a few races, but I soon realized that you couldn't actually watch the races while trying to get some shots and that was from the grandstand, so I quit even taking my camera to the track. I could only imagine the action a person would miss standing in one corner and shooting all night...

While I don't understand this stupid PA vs. the world battle royale......

Hawker - I have to disagree with you on that. I have seen some amazing things from my corner that I would not ordinarilly see from the stands. Drivers "signaling:" to each other at speed, The look of sheer determination on their face when they attempt a risky slide job or a pass on the outside. I have seen accidents unfold just by watching body language in the car and the look on some of their faces. However, most of the tracks I go to (and prefer to go to) are 1/4 and 3/8 mile without infield parking so you can pretty much see the whole track. I am not saying that there are not things I don't see but what I do more than makes up for it.

supaschats, thanks for pointing out the obvious. You've heard that old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words"

Geez, I even know there's more than one King at the Kings's Royal. lol

Thanks for explaining to ones who didn't know that. (giggle) (lol)

With your reasoning (or lack there of), since the REAL King has been crowned 6 times, that would make him the KING of the KINGS ROYAL (along with being the King of the Outlaws). But hey, keep trying on the "justification crusade".

See Hawker, I've now been on this board long enough that you will never get over the past and move on. You will forever be stuck whining and complaining about how bad it is now and how great it was then. How nobody will ever live up to Steve Kinser.

Well, there were legends before Steve Kinser and there will be legends after him. Someday, he will be nearly forgotten just as many legends of the early days have. Only some old dusty record books will keep the memory alive. You can sit there and keep reading those old books and be the rickety stubborn fool that you seem to have chosen to be or you can move on with your life and realize that racing will go on and you cannot control it as you seem to want to. Kinser is great, but many others will be in their own eras and generations. Times change and you cannot compare racing from decade to decade just as you can't compare other sports. It evolves, unlike you. Maybe someday you will learn that lesson, maybe not. Either way, the sport will go on without you.

Hawker, may I correct you AGAIN. That would be over a thousand sprint shows and over 500 Outlaw shows which with a quarter or two will get me a cup of coffee, so what, right? I think I've seen more with one eye closed and the other looking through a lens anyhow, lol. Congrats to Mr. Leppo for his win tonite and a big High Five to Clint his biggest fan,job well done. Take It Easy.....

PS Bear, I have been on an email list of PA race results sprint wide for years and read them the first of every week and used to talk regularly with a bunch of Posse friends/fans, you oughta try it.....

LMAO... Kinser has racked up numbers that WILL NEVER, EVER, be matched. To say that his accomplishments will "be nearly forgotten" just shows how little you know about the sport.

The reason I harp on the piss poor racing that there is today, is because I am old enough to have witnessed something that you, the "Johnny come lately" fans have never seen. Such as winners coming from 24th for a win and 3 wide racing, 5 rows deep. You think that you are witnessing something great, when in reality, the great racing is gone, gone to my "rickety, stubborn" memories, never to be experienced by pups like you. Because until you have seen Steve, Sammy, Wolfie, Weld, Ferkel and Doty all racing together or Opperman slamming a cushion, you have no idea what great racing really is. You can either listen and learn from those of us who have expereinced the best years of sprint car racing, only to DEMAND that those days return. Or, you can sit back and watch your rubberdown parades like what was run tonight and proclaim "what a great race", because in reality, that's all you know, to you, that IS modern day sprint car racing.
