wasn't the Nationals a WoO event until last year?? isn't the FRC an unsanctioned event? isn't it only 25/30 miles down the road, less than 48 hours until the WoO sanctioned event?

how did they get away with that if the rule was the same then as now?

The Knoxville Nationals was always a special situation. Yes, the WoO sanctioned the race, but it was Knoxville's format and purse structure with no WoO points given aside from show-up points. . Basically, the WoO for years got paid a sanction fee for the Nationals to keep Ted and his boys from putting together a race somewhere else. The reputed $20k per night that Knoxville gave to the WoO was just to make sure they showed up and didn't have issues. If I recall, the event the weekend previous to Knoxville was traditionally the HBO at Eldora, which was non-sanctioned. That's why Lasoski and the Casey's team usually went to Knoxville th week before. Therefore, the Front Row Challenge was in play.

2006 Knoxville nationals were NOT WoO sactioned. The $80,000 saction fee was put in the purse.

Does it really matter where he runs? He's average at best on the WoO so why not try and compete against talent that he thinks he's better than.

Don't blame the Outlaws it is false advertising by Huset's/Rubin's to bring in more fans.

Sadly people believe motorsports advertising.
