I'll be video taping both All Star events this weekend. For those who stay home for fear of a bad track...I hope you'll pony up the $10 for a DVD to see what you missed when the track comes back to life this weekend. I hope to be reporting what a great race it was.
Videos for sale at: All Star Video Store

This is the address it shows on all of Tony Stewarts web sites. Maybe we should send our thoughts and disappointments.

Maybe you should all stop whining about 2 bad nights!!!!
My god, you've heard the reasons for the problems and yet you won't lay off. Better yet, since you're all experts on track preparation, why don't you go volunteer your services for free. I mean, you know what needs to be done.....how to make it perfect......go for it!!!!
"It's not like it was 127 years ago!!!" No kidding???
"Earl never had it like this" Hmmm......Earl doesn't own it anymore. Tony's doing what he can, and trying to improve things at the same time. Why didn't one of you buy it from Earl? Afraid of the internet dolts like yourselves?
"I remember when.....blah blah blah" Sounds like every internet keyboard commando I ever read. You people make me laugh every time I read it. I swear, you could take the posts from the first racetrack message board and just recycle them. WAIT!! That's what all you people are doing, right?? You're being environmentally friendly by just posting old garbage so you don't have to endanger the ozone layer!!!
I apologize wholeheartedly. I can't believe I didn't see what patriotic good citizens of the Earth you were.
Proceed.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

I for one will be there this Saturday. I am not ready to throw in the towel. I have faith in Eldora, it's staff and Tony. My opinion, they are doing what they can to keep Eldora what Eldora has been. I think they care and will get it right. If I'm not mistaken it was last April when Haud came from the back in the All Star feature for the win in one of the most exciting races I've seen in a long time on a excellent track. Haud was running them down inches off the wall and it was exciting.
Having said this I am glad a lot of people are upset with the track. I was at the WOO race in April and it was unreal, horrible to see everybody hug the inside wall.

Well, Big E; sounds to me like you at least are patient enough to see that they ARE doing the best they can. Good for you.
If you stagnate, you die; even if you are Eldora.
Wish I could be there with you, just to give Swamp a hard time.:)

I think all tracks in the midwest are having a hard time getting a handle on the racing surface, Some have said it's due to the wet winter and more then normal wet spring. It seems alot of the tracks are saying the same thing(ruts and holes). Maybe with some sun shine and warm weather things will get back to normal.........If you could create the perfect dirt track every fri and sat nite you would be a millionaire and indemand 24-7.

I haven't been to the reconfigured Eldora, but it's not like the WoO show was the only time ever that the place was around the bottom. I remember an All-Star race back in the late 90s(??) where most of the field was as low as they could possibly get. And for the record, Earl still owned the place then. It was an oddball of an event, obviously, but this stuff will happen. Dirt can be like that.
