Last year's preliminary winner Jeff Shepard who was third in this race 4-5 years ago and that's when he started 14th.
Dewease and Stevie Smith who has came very close to winning this race before.

yeah but she'd pick a fight with Hewitt (somehow) and the magic 8 ball says he'll treat her like the racer she wants to be treated like and kick her ass.

I would pay to watch that ass kicking. I really cannot stand Danica. She represents all that is wrong with motorsports today... she is a novelty at best. If I had a daughter I would not want her looking up to Danica as she is in IRL only because of money and sex appeal. Great values for young girls to aspire to achieve. I want the best open wheel drivers from dirt in IRL cars and I want IRL cars without all the high-tech nonsense. Get back to your roots racing!
Cheers!

Wayne Johnson absolutely put on a clinic for 3 days - and you bums dont even mention it.
if he ever gets the 410 dialed in like he had that 360. bye bye
he is a consistent prsence in the 410 nat's a main every year ----- and ya'll dont mention him? how many of those guys you all mention can say that?
i dont if lasoski can really be considered in this group. technically yes - but - come on. well anyhow i would say those with the best shot

Wayne Johnson was amazing. It was like he was running a 410 out there. Is it just me or is he a dead ringer for Joe Pesci?

Johnson wasn't mentioned because this is a "410" thread for the REAL Nationals. If he could run with the 410's he'd do it on a regular basis.
Lasoski it the best bet for a NON WoO driver to win it this year.

Would you like someone to send you a towel so you can wipe the egg off your face Smitty?
Feel free to respond when you get your foot out of your mouth!
Sometimes a guy is not in a 410 because contrary to what some try to claim,,, it is cheaper to run a 360.

After listening to Wednesday night, I'd have to say Wayne Johnson deserves to be on that list. Plus the Dude & I'll throw in Kemenah.

No eggs, how 'bout biscuits & gravy?
This was nothing more than a $12,000 to win heat race.....Johnson will fade like a bad tie dye shirt on Saturday night.
PS. sorry for the late response, I was actually at the races, unlike the 360 fan support group.

Reality for the Posse, AGAIN. Usually they wait for Saturday to go backwards, dang. Lance might surprise tomorrow, he had the biggest lead in a preliminary I ever saw a few years ago. The C-Main might be loaded with your boys Smitty, will it be the highlight of the weekend? Take It Easy....

Smitty, you clame that Wayne can't run with the 410 guys...
Yet he is going for his 6th strait Nationals A-Main
And I don't know if I was the only person that heard this, but he is doing all this with a 5 YEAR old motor.
I would bet anything that motor is by far the oldest in the entire field...
And it was pulling away from Kinser and Lasoski.. Two guys that know their way around that track.
I have been a Wayne Johnson fan forever, so all this may just be coming from a dedicated fan, but for him to be out there doing all this with a pretty underfunded team (both in 360 and in 410) is pretty good to me.
Good luck Wayne.

Must be tough having to rub it in on the internet rather than in person 'eh? I'm getting to witness the "big dance" in person for the first time, that's the highlight.....much better than watching it on SPEED wouldn't you say?

Don't get me wrong Wayne Johnson is a hell of a driver and he may not have the funds as a Donny Schatz, Joey Saldana or a Steve Kinser but saying hes an under funded team I wouldn't believe for a second pulling into the pits saturday he had 2 trailers 1 hooked to a nice new toter and another fairly nice trailer hooked to a semi and they both looked to have quite a few parts in them. I'd say there is plenty of money behind that guy to run what he is.

Rahmer in the toughest heat of the night (3/3 + all 4 qualifiers in the top 6 come feature time prove fact) - didn't matter as he looked like a fossil (in heat and B) (net position move 0). Darrah is young and looked the part (net position move -6), Hodnett does what it takes (net position move +1), Layton (net position move na) and Hammer (net position move -4) (+ rest of heat) screwed by squirrel - Hammer comes back despite crash. Not the best night by any means - but The K-ville Lotto continues tonight.
Generally speaking expert "observations" are better provided by eyewitness accounts not sitting on the porch 1150 miles away,

In real life I wouldn't rub it in, you know this is the only place that happens. Have a good time, hopefully this will open your eyes to ALL the talent in the country, not just the porch dwellers. I think you will be pleasantly surprised, hopefully your hero(the tire guy) learns out there, I know you will. Enjoy, Take It Easy.....
PS My front porch to the Dingus is only 721 miles, an easy drive these days....

Not really. He had a great run last night for sure, but he still sits 8th in points after night one, no possibility really of making the scramble and likely he'll roll off in the A from between 15-17th. Highly unlikely he'll be challenging for the win at any point on Saturday.
Anybody but Schatz though, is fine with me.
